New Aircraft

Hi Gordon,

Your attention to detail & overall work is most impressive. :D

In the park at Wanganui; are those kid's bouncy ride-on things with large springs still there?. :o

Your portal suggestions may well come very much into play, for Craig (Seeseeme) & my "Narrandera_Tocumwal" project. Not only for aircraft, but most likely some vehicular/river & possibly even rail transport.

I'm still just a novice compared to some work i've seen :hehe:

Yeah most are still there, they retired the old tot town railway loco and wagons, had a new modern set made in Auckland for $100000, the old set were made at the east town railway work shops here 44yrs ago.

Noel.B,

If you have a close look at my map of wellington harbor, your cousins house was on the hill above Petone station right where the compass point north is.

Gordon :)

Hey Vulcan
When will your pushback trailer be uploaded?? The A380's'll look stupid without 'em, which is because no pushback, not your work
Jamie

Gee Jamie, being pushy aren't you? :hehe:

The A380s should be on the DLS in an hour or so, the push back tractor was approved three hours after the A380s, so give it another 4-5 hours, past your bed time.

Ian

But it's a weekend:'(

Nah seriously though (or am I??) sorry for being pushy
Great looking A380's but they look nutty driving backwards:hehe:
And how would you turn around an aircraft at an airport?? Maybe some invisible turntables someone??(Not Vulcan, he's done too much recently)

Jamie

EDIT: Vulcan, the curves are too tight for the A380's on the runway
RE-EDIT: Only on Short Take-off, my boo-boo
Jamie

Hey Gordon, how do you make it night-time in TRS2010?? Also great shots, I'll need to post a few of mine up
Need to make an international airport of my own:hehe:
Jamie

Nice ones Gordon,

I did mean to suggest that you use large radius curves for the larger aircraft, as Jamie has found the short take off track is too sharp, it is for the Osprey and light planes. I thought he asked for a 3000 plus metre take off length for the A380, and here he is using the 600 metre one - ground him, or send him back to school.:D

Make sure you limit the taxiway speeds or you will be repairing the wingtips.

The pushback tractor is available, this has to be a compromise as far as curvature is concerned. Fudging the limpoints on the aircraft and tractor so the push bar meet the front bogey is the best I can do, and the bar wanders sideways on very sharp curves.

Not the best strategy for Qantas' "We've never hade a fatal crash" but Vulcan, you've outdone yourself
As soon as you finish these take a long-earned break. Breathe some fresh air, It's good for you you know??
I'm not having any problems so now I say, Vulcan, you're a HERO (copyright limited), you're a bludy legend!
Dunno why I said this stuff as you haven't finished the project, maybe I'm practising a victory spech of something?

Jamie

Jamie, with the quick drive window you can change the time that how you get night time in 2010, or look for environment setting to change time.

I have Ian's push back tractors as well so will post a couple of shots after work tonight.

Wellington in it's natural state, wet :hehe:

Just a suggestion Ian for latter, a bonus addition to the airport would be the center hub on its own (no base texture) and the sky bridge as a spline. would make it real easy to add on to your terminal.

Gordon

Wellington going through re-development at the moment, last i saw the new terminal was going to look like a giant orange pumpkin ........ and i am being serious.

Nice pics guys, but don't get too close, shows up all the flaws. :)

Three of the 747s are now on the DLS, Qantas, Alitalia and Air New Zealand (Gordon may find a use for this one). I may get the others done tomorrow. These only have working flaps, not air spoilers.

Splitting the terminal into components may be an idea.

Hi Ian, look forward to takeing the 747 for a quick low level fly by :hehe:

Just to let you know, your latest work is not coming up in CMP 3.2, but is coming up if i use the DLS link at the top of the page.

Gordon

The 747's look great Ian, ah the benifits of a laptop and pc, trainz on the pc and chat to you all on the laptop at the same time. :hehe: :hehe:

Do you mind reskins of your airliners? Just wondering, because someone may do it someday(myself possibly included), anyways, great stuff! I haven't been able to download it because CM is acting funny again and hasn't recognized some of the newly uploaded stuff(althought I think its my end, because people have downloaded your stuff already)

Cheers

No your right it's the CM, us the download station link at the top, takes alittle longer but you get there in the end.

Gordon

Have the pushbacks working to specific trackmarks and then return to stageing
point.
Had to reset A380 takeoff speed, down by 100kph :hehe: I think i may have to pre-empt the real extensions to the runway with a bridge deck at the ends off the runway to extend takeoff.
