Boeing 737-81D Aerolíneas Argentinas

Leo,

This one's for you....

As for the A340, the Boeing was a difficult re-skin and is far from perfect as a result.

Have made several attempts to get this TS12 route across into T:ANE without any decent result - just a scenery mess and nothing actually working. As a minor illustration why does a white line turn into a peculiar shade of blue and letter totally change font? That's it for me with T:ANE for now

Have uploaded this route "as is" and if anyone manages to get this working in T:ANE I would be very interested.

Nice work Paul, I see the Hobbit 777 touched down ok. I'll load it up and have a play, I'm having trouble with Christchurch as well deleted all of Rob's aircraft and reinstalling. Each time I placed one of the aircraft I got a bug report on the start up script, but when I cloned an aircraft in TS12 and copied it over no fault.

Gordon

Lots of hours involved there Paul.

You're going to hate us though. Vulcan has just done a startup set for the 767 family. Expect to see some upgrades to appear over the next couple of weeks.

Gordon,
Vulcan is already aware of some conflicts with TANE and has done some work during the week to address them. It will take time for us to sweep though many aircraft and upgrade them to be TANE friendly. I suspect what you've done Gordon, is found a way to get the program to make a correction that has worked. I can't verify but suspect.

So be patient folks. And maybe hold off with the requests for a couple of weeks or so.

Just tried it again after database rebuild, still buggy but; the aircraft that are already on the map like the LC-130's no fault. Anything new using the aircraft script bugs, have noted that the script has a .gse extension and comes up encrypted when you try to look at it in notepad, nope wrong again even the .gs files from the early models bug.

Bug report.

Gordon

PS. hope the bug report shows the same as what you have seen, makes it easier when there's only a small amount of code to rework.

Gordon - not sure the Hobbit was around in 2012 but I was certainly not going to ignore it!

Rob - I did think about asking when upgrades would be available but decided not to hassle you. I'm hoping that ultimately we'll have a T:ANE version but in the meantime, individual users can edit and swap the upgraded aircraft over themselves.

Paul

Airliners.net shows first arrival at LHR 25.11.2012 so only slightly out on accuracy

Hi Guys,

I am aware of the problems in Tane, I am having major problems with it.

The blue invisible track that is built in will not show on the map, the program crashes regularly, the placed aircraft vanish as you move around the scenery and screenshots sometimes only show the scenery not the models as well.

1. The goal posts have been moved again, most of the recent scripts need a small update. I have left some Handler functions in the scripts (to listen for the trigger messages) and not all have been used to activate animations in some aircraft. The error occurs in Tane, if there is no follow up code to use the Handler messages -no problem in TS12 but an issue in Tane. Some of the older aircraft are no problem.

I will work through the models as soon as I am clear on all the issues.

2. The more important issue is that Boat's trigger needs updating for Tane. You can import a map with placed triggers and they will work, you can place a new trigger as well, but the popup screen will not work, a small html problem with the script. So, you cannot set the setting number for a newly placed trigger nor change any of the imported trigger settings. Boat has a fix for that but is deciding whether to obsolete the old trigger or make a use a new kuid. He has similar work to do on his ATLS triggers

Without the triggers functioning, it is a waste of time using the more recent aircraft in Tane in a new map.

As Rob says, there will be new startup models for the Boeing 767 soon, a startup Constellation and some other updated models when I get the time.

Ian

Hi Guys,

I have started to update some of the aircraft for Tane, the following are now available, and are now startup models, Papou and Rob will probably have some reskins soon:

Boeing 767-281 DHL Startup <KUID2:60238:9890:1>
Boeing 767-319 Air New Zealand Startup <KUID2:60238:9889:1>
Boeing 767-336 British Airways Startup <KUID2:60238:9888:1>
Boeing 767-400 Qantas Startup <KUID2:60238:9887:1>
Bombardier Learjet 75 startup <KUID2:60238:9870:3>
Cessna Skymaster 377 startup <KUID2:60238:9864:2>
Cessna Skymaster O-2 Military startup <KUID2:60238:9865:2>

The DHL is a new model in the shorter 200 series for the 767:

The good news is that Boat has updated the trigger for Tane, it will work in TS12 and Tane, and has 20 settings instead of the older 15, this will give me more flexibility as well. It has been uploaded and should be available shortly. It is called Aircraft Action Trigger - TS12 & TANE version and does not obsolete the earlier one.

The old one will work in TS12 but not in Tane. For future aircraft some may use the 16 to 20 settings so I suggest if you notice these being detailed in the config description, you use the new trigger in your map. I believe if you use the replace function you may lose the existing settings unless they have been saved to the map as Boat has described in his popup screen for the trigger.

Thanks for that Ian - I really should have asked before uploading the Heathrow route - there's obviously a lot of BA 767-300 movements but also AA/AC/UA as well. Not to worry - I'll have to do an update at some point. Maybe after all the work you're doing and a patch or two, it will upload OK in T:ANE.

Also - if Boat's trigger now has additional settings, is it possible for the flare trigger setting to be replaced by separate flare on and flare off settings or does that involve modifying each aircraft model again? (only now a problem if aircraft is between triggers at resume).

Paul

Paul, a number of aircraft already have two functions for flaring, the V key and trigger 7. The script has to be set up so when you cross trigger 7 it flares, and when it crosses the next trigger 7 it returns to normal. The V key can be used at any time. Sometimes for special aircraft we pinch the V key for some other animation, but we do try to make them unique if possible.

I had been experimenting with making the wheels turn when taxiing, the rotation speed is a function of the aircraft speed, it looks quite good, but requires a bit more work to build. I have to use a trigger at takeoff to stop the wheel rotation and another at touchdown to start it again, hence the need for some additional setting values. The problem is you need to use the triggers in pairs otherwise the animation gets out of sync, so I am reluctant to release that function, it works on the new Constellation.

Ian

Ian - don't worry about it - leave it as it is, there's only a problem with my model on the first two landing aircraft after a resume. I have tried the V key in the past and again just now on several aircraft but I've not found one that it works on so I just slip in a "drive via" command to an additional trigger.

Salivating at the thought of a rotating nose wheel !

Paul

I see that Boat's trigger is now available on the DLS.

I have redone most of the scripts so they should work in Tane but it will take me a while to test all my aircraft upgrades and upload the aircraft replacements. I have placed a zip file with the fixed scripts aircraft100 to aircraft151 on my website:

http://ianztrainz.com/publicshare/scripts100_151.zip

In the meantime, if you would like to use any of my aircraft, or reskins in Tane, download the file and replace the appropriate script in the aircraft folder for problem models. I believe they are correct, but I have not yet located every aircraft and tested them in Tane.

The second thing you need to do is make sure the sound file in the config file has the following format, a zero at the start and the quotations around the name with no spaces after the name, I explained this problem earlier in this thread, post 3691.

sound
{
0 "engine.wav"
}
}
}

Paul, I have added the trigger setting 7 for flaring to many of the older aircraft scripts and with the V key, you should be able to take control of the flaring for the more recent aircraft.

Ian

Thanks Ian and Pascal for your stuff - you're obviously very busy at the moment (also Rob!)

I'm on a family break tomorrow for a week and when I get back I intend getting to grips with T:ANE
