New Aircraft

watemple,

The NW B787 would be a fantasy livery (which are pretty difficult to do & aren't really my thing). At present the only companies from the Americas flying B787 aircraft are United, LAN, Areomexico and Air Canada. I've already done one for United & will be doing the Air Canada shortly. Delta & others have them on order but are not delivered. I think someone in the flightsim community has done a NW 787 so I'll see what I can get from there to help. I can't promise anything.

Ok! The one 787 for FSX is by Camil Valiquette.

Well, quite alive, this thread at the moment!!
Rob, your CRJs seem to be appreciated. Nice work, of course.

August was a period of rest, only 2 new reskins in the box: 2 Airbus A300 Under Garuda colours.

First one with the old red/orange stripes which were in force until 1985.

The second one all white with blue tail.

Sept.9-2014 - I just uploaded a rev 2 of both files to correct a small issue in the config.txt - Nothing drammatic.

I had the necessary stuff immediately available, plus an interesting subject, so I did it right now:

Bombardier CRJ200-LR AirTran

Nice Triple 7 Pascal! I can see one of those landing at my Vancouver Airport soon.

Speaking of arrivals at YVR....
At the back hangers near Vancouver South Terminal at stray CRJ200-LR is getting some repairs.

CRJ200AirTran01_zps04f7a9f1.jpg

After saying the AirTran would be a relatively easy re-skin, I found it to be a bit more tricky than I first expected. As it turns out this paint scheme and agreement between AirTran & Air Wisconsin only lasted between 2002 & 2004 so photos are a bit scarce. This is also a period when digital cameras were in their infancy so the quality of the photos is also a bit sketchy. It just means the re-skin just isn't as sharp & clear as I would have liked. I hope you still like it Alex.

The Air Wisconsin aircraft that were painted with this livery have all subsequently been re-assigned to US Airways (still operated by Air Wisconsin).

Repairs complete the short range jet powers up for take off before setting course back over the border to the US.

It would be great if some of you guys downloading these aircraft would post some screen shots of them flying about on your routes. Don't be shy.

I suppose I could pose one in mid-air somewhere, but I should practice with invisible track and the like. I've only worked in Trainz with my feet on the ground! :)

Hi Papou

Quelle surprise ! Have just found the BA 777-200 in content - I was expecting a delivery slot some time off yet ......

Very many thanks for that - your stuff is excellent and really appreciated. This model completes all the current BA types and also Heathrow T5 types except Iberia A321 if you feel like doing that one some time?

My project is to produce a full day working timetable onto a model of T5, including the 3D buildings off Google Earth and then maybe spread out to the other terminals. I'm finding the junctions/signalling for push-backs and taxi-ing very challenging at the moment. Plenty of collisions and refusals to move but when (if) I get something worth showing, I'll post on here (Rob 725 comment above).

I chose T5 to start because the runways, taxiways and stands align exactly North/South and East/West so it's easier to model onto the grid. T3 and the central area would be much more interesting to model but I'll see how I go on with T5 first.

Merci beaucoup

Paul

Thanks Paul,

I like the fact that you have a project in mind, so it's a good reason for me to contribute a little bit..

The Iberia A321 should not be too long to produce, as I did previously an A319 of the same company.

Well, I've got some nice terrain cover thanks to TransDem and it's high-res UTM Tiles. Adding some 3rd dimension objects like trees and the airport buildings will probably turn out OK. I'm sure I have 3 different generations of aircraft here, but they are what I like. I do see the pictured Frontier aircraft come in and out of my local airport (Trenton/Mercer County Airport [TTN], New Jersey) quite frequently.

Boeing 737-222 United - 1968 Stars & Bars

I have another aircraft for your project Andrew. As requested.

United were the launch customer for the Boeing 737-200 back in 1968. This is the "Stars & Bars" paint scheme from that era. Seen here with a Boeing 707 Pan Am. There are a few other aircraft already available from the same era including B727, DC-10 & 747s.

I had to wait a little while we refined the model (thanks to both Ian & Pascal). This is why the AirTran CRJ request appeared first. Besides, I was already in the swing of CRJ skins. Note that there is now a Canadian North Boeing 737-200 available on DLS under Vulcan's user ID. This is the template for all the 737-200 series startup models. The older 200 series have very different engines in both shape & technology so many of the re-paints already available on DLS are a compromise because they're based on the newer engine type. Those who are custodians of these skins may like to update their assets to this model which is much more accurate & has all of the current Vulcan model technology.

Next on the request list is the NWA 787.

Available now on DLS.

Superb, Rob, welcome back to the oldies club!

This 737-200 is a real gold mine, in terms of liveries of any kind!!

I have now to update my South African one. Before that, I need to finish an Iberia 321 (new colours, much easier) and a small Piper.

Rob,

Thank you very much! That United 737 looks great! And thanks to Vulcan and Pascal for making the 737-200 more prototypical. I look forward to downloading them. I'm currently in the midst of trying to create a (fairly) accurate model of the TTN control tower:

Many many thanks for the 737-200 :)
My all time favourite aircraft , spent many a happy holiday in Spain having travelled there by various UK charter baby Boeings in the 1980s

CRJ200-ER American Eagle - 2012+

Thanks for the encouragement guys but don't get too excited. My re-skins are predominately in the last couple of decades. The United Stars & Bars even predates my existence on the planet so my knowledge of these aircraft is sketchy at best. Disregarding requests, the re-skins I'm focusing on are very much about anything that lands in Vancouver in more recent times. I'll happily take requests but my priorities outside those are all about my own needs. Sorry to smash any illusions of me being here just for everyone elses benefit. :hehe:

So with that in mind.

Here is the missing piece of the SkyWest CRJ Puzzle. This time it's American Airlines subsidiary, American Eagle.

CRJ200AmericanEagle01_zpsc486e072.jpg

I haven't done the new American Eagle grey livery as yet because I just haven't been able to find the right photos to be able to generate a good enough re-skin. The grey liveries are quite tricky to get right so it's especially important. I'll have another look in a few months.

Available now on DLS.

The Iberia A321 is arrived at the DLS. It should be available soon.

I chose the new livery, more simple and certainly cheaper to apply than the older. Also less weight of paint, and less work for me..
