New Aircraft

Nice to see some activity in our thread.:)

I have not done any models since before Christmas, having a break. I have started doing some requested updates of older models, the first three are now available.

The RAAF C-47 Dakota is now a startup model, I needed to lower the side windows and rebuild the fuselage more accurately.
The Mirage IIIO is now also a startup version, expect to see some reskins for these models from Pascal.
The C-130 Hercules is an improved startup model, new rear doors, and ramps.

The next new model will be the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, the Mach 2 US spyplane. Interestingly, it does not use flashing marker lights - that would defeat the purpose of trying to hide. ;)

It is similar to the Sukoi SU-35 in operation, it has a startup sequence where the pilot gets in the aircraft and tests the controls.

It has the usual animation, flaring, full afterburners, lit panels, and you are able to set speeds for landing and stopping using the Aircraft Action Trigger.

It also has an operating dragchute.

Sorry, the model does not fly at Mach 3, it would be impossible to control and hard to get an engine config to give that speed range. Only a few possibilities for reskinning, the tail for instance, no foreign reskins, as it was only ever owned by the USA. :hehe:

It was approved with the Mirage, so should be available in a few hours.

Well done, Ian, this SR71 is very exciting.
I can imagine the size of a map to control an aircraft at mach 3..

*greatest plane ever removed*

YES!!!!! I can live in peace now! I'll make the thing hit it's top speed, I'll find a way! If you're not flying the thing at Mach 3.2-3.3 then what's the point of flying the blackbird? Impossible to control? Nah! You're reflexes with the switches just need to be fast as all crap (in other words I'll probably crash quite a few of these things).

Finally it has arrived at the crash site.

Good Afternoon Everyone ---

If I may... If you can list or note down which of Ian's airplanes have an interior passenger I would appreciate it very much! -- The idea is just to sit and ride the plane, able to look out the window, etc ...

Thank you for any feedback!
Ish

Hello Ish,

Most, if not all, of Ian's airplanes have several internal views, pilot and passengers if any. You switch from one view to another with ] key.

Have a good flight!

Good Afternoon Pascal,

Thank you sir -- Yes, I have download all of Ian's contents, and began playing (experimenting) with a few of his planes -- I have a few ideas in store, so that's why I asked!

I am huge airport and airplane fan, so much so that I reskin Bdneal (hope I got the ailas right - Sorry if I did not) many years ago, when I began my Desert route with Trainz v2006, and now that Ian has place his incredible skills into creating planes, the sky's the limit -- amazing things can be done, and I will continue experimenting greatly -- Well, enough chatting....

Thanks again ---
Take care
Ish
