New Aircraft

I haven't been doin' much. Just flying F-15's around scaring the crap out of everyone in Autumnville while revealing how cheaply constructed the route is.

And shooting flying gevo's out of the sky with an Apache helicopter.

Nice work here Pascal!
Had attempted a re-skin of this aircraft in TEAL colours but had issues getting the window sizing right. This one looks great.

itsmrb,
I'm not sure what you were trying to re-skin in teal other than an Air Canada & Air New Zealand in Pacific Blue livery but I have a guess that maybe you are trying a re-skin on the wrong B777 variant. I've done Air NZ & Air Canada re-skins on the shorter B777-200. The Hobbit versions in Gordon's pics are B777-300 series wich are quite a bit longer and are easily spotted with 5 exit doors versus the 4 on the B777-200.

FYI. The B777-300 model is in for some work with Vulcan at the moment. The original Hobbit is waiting for this work to be completed and I can release it as a fully driveable re-skin. I have little doubt that Gordon will ask me to convert this new one as well. I have a long list of other B777-300 re-skins so if you have a few you would like to do yourself, let me know so we aren't duplicating.

Also. I notice you have quite a few aircraft re-skins uploaded to DLS including Dash 8, Fokker Friendship & Viscount aircraft. Nice to see someone else having a go! Great work!
But you didn't tell anyone (on this forum thread at least). You should advertise your good work here where it is appreciated. It can even be good for your ego.

Keep those screen shots coming.

Thanks Itsmrb.

I suppose you are talking about the TEAL sunderland, such as the ZK-AMK, as used for the Coral Route.

The pics I have show different hull windows arrangement. You need to re-draw them, using my model texture sheet as a template.

If you face troubles, feel free to contact me or Rob.

Hi Pascal / Rob,

sorry I was slightly cryptic in my last reply. I'd been working on a re-skin of the Lockheed L188 Electra myself, but into Tasman Empire Airways Limited (or TEAL for short, now known as Air New Zealand) colours. Thanks to some assistance from Pascal, I've started working on it again. A little more work to go but I'll sneak it onto the DLS in the next few days :)

And Rob, you're right. I've purposely sneaked under the radar so far. Mostly I've been looking at smaller aeroplanes to re-skin. I've got a couple of other's in 1/2 states of completion, including a DC3 and a Twin Otter in Mount Cook Airline (NM) colours. These will pop-up in due course :)

Cheers,
Bruno

Thanks Gordon.

One other re-skin I've got ready for the DLS - just in time for the company's new service between Wellington and Wanganui which kicks off tomorrow (replacing Air New Zealand Link services)...

...Sounds Air Cessna Caravan ZK-SAA in full swing taking off.

Also (good a place to ask as any) has anybody had any issues with Runway30m end from Minitrix (asset <kuid2:152080:20015:1>) or know of any other good assets to use for the end of a runway? Started my airport using Minitrix's runway assets but this one comes up with an unresolvable error regarding a texture not being present (which is present and accounted for).

Cheers,
Bruno

Another good work, Bruno!

For this Minitrix asset, I also have no solution. You can contact Minitrix (adress in the config). He doesnt produce any more assets for Trainz, but may help for this one. Keep us informed.

I am back to military airplanes.

This is a reskin of the Grumman E2C Hawkeye, operated by the french Navy.
