New Aircraft

Deleted.
Forum posted twice. Very unreliable at times.

Here's a teaser to fill in the post. It's still technically a DC-10.

Thanks Rob, appearing on the DLS 18 hours after approval is not bad. The Boeing 777 and 787 models and the Airbus 330 are now available.

This is the Qantas model of the A330, a 202 version. :)

Pascal,

Your re-skin list must look pretty scary! I imagine the number of different European & Asian airlines that operate the 2 Airbus aircraft alone must be huge!
I promise to help you once my list is much smaller.

It is, Rob, it is!!

And what about the A320 & B737 families aircrafts I started ??

Now it's time to make priorities..

Thanks to Ian for this avalanche..of models. When He says He is far from TRS, it means He his working like crazy on new models!

Boeing 777-224ER - Continental Airlines

This is the first of my Triple 7 series. It could be classed a cheap/cheeky re-paint. It's Vulcan's United B777 with the "United" label on the side of the aircraft swapped out for "Continental". The reality is that the Continental aircraft were re-badged right after the merger between the two companies & the others that were originally United aircraft were completely re-painted with the Continental paint scheme.

Good and quiet start, Rob.
Me too, I started with an Air France A340-313X, actual livery, nothing very complicated!
I should make also the former livery, which was, to my taste, better looking..

Next should be B777 and A330, also Air France (patterns optimization..)

Hi Pascal, nice repaints. I will have a look at the changes you asked for in mapping in the next few days.

The next model is something different, the Locheed Martin F-22 Raptor.

This is also a startup model, the engines start and the exhausts light up in sequence using the B key. Aim120 and Sidewinder missiles are carried internally and fire using the V key. The aircraft flares for landing and has afterburners that cut in at high speed. There is no flaps operation this time.

Aim120 missile launch (H key). The Sidewinders come from the sides of the engines 5 seconds after the Aim120's.

If you do not like the shadow effect on the sides of the aircraft during flaring, call up the included invisible shadow as I mentioned before. The moving shadow on the ground is quite nice so I put up with the colour changes on the aircraft.

Hope you like it, uploaded soon.

Impressive and aggressive, Ian, this Raptor!

Much more peacefull, this A340 of Air France, with the original colours.
The new livery was introduced in 2009, but many AF airplanes still wear this one today.

You can see the TS12 shadow on this pic.
Model accepted by DLS, should be available soon.

Boeing 777-200LR - Delta Airlines

On a stormy evening a Delta Airlines Boeing 777-200LR sits at the terminal along side a United B777 (one of Vulcan's models) while the ground staff prepare the aircraft for its next flight.

Later, with passengers on board, the beast climbs toward the clouds searching for clear air above the storm.

The Delta Boeing 777 is now available on DLS.

Boeing 777-200ER - Air New Zealand

More great work from you Pascal!

Here's one for our Kiwi Friends.

Early one morning at Auckland International & flight NZ27 to San Francisco has been cleared for take off on Runway 05R. The engines roar into life and the big jet surges forward.

Some eight hours later NZ27 is at the terminal at SFO next to a couple of American jets.

This one is the outgoing "Pacific Wave" livery. There isn't much in the way of photos of the new livery so this will have to do for now.
And sorry guys. No All Black livery & no Lord of the Rings murals. From my research, those are all on the B777-300ER not these shorter B777-200 aircraft.
This asset is now available on DLS.

Good job, Rob, your family is growing neatly.

I just finished the Air France 777-200s with the 2 existing liveries, and a F28 freighter, for Air France Cargo.

I need now to re-install my TS12, which has been killed by the new patch. Thanks to NV3 developpers.. Hopefully, my TS10 is still operative.

Files to be available soon at the DLS.

Not my usual thread to post in but I have a passing interest in mainly UK civil aircraft / airfields .

I'm currently working on Fudginators new late 1980s UK south west based fictional route adding some additional custom content etc . This includes updating the airport he has built in one area of the route .
I've built a new custom runway (scenery object but not scripted) Taxiway splines (set up as track) and Runway and Taxiway lighting which is now visible up to 3 miles from the airfield .

airportlights1x1024_zps641e4e2d.jpg

The lighting is currently set to illuminate all day as a standard corona attachment but I'm looking at setting it up to illuminate only from Dawn to Dusk .
The intensity and sizes of the corona's will be adjusted to suit as they are a bit bright at the moment .

Being a late 80s route I've also reskinned some of Vulcan's aircraft up into some of my favourite liveries from the 80s .

mid80sairliners1x1024_zpsccc97605.jpg

I've also reskinned the 737-200 in Orion Airways colours but this shell has an over scale tail , Is anyone planning on making a newer 737-200 ?

orion737-2001x1024_zps231a01dc.jpg

All the content should be making an appearance on the DLS over the next month or so along with the route once it's been completed and tested .

Pascal,
You have quite a large fleet of Air France aircraft now! Nice work.

nexusdj,
It's great to see someone other than Pascal or myself doing some re-skins.
I'm interested to see how the taxiways turn out as well. Vulcan & myself were looking at his legacy taxiway splines recently & they need to be upgraded (re-quiring a complete remodel) to make vertually any changes. I have managed to make the changes for myself (e.g. changing the marking from yellow to white or no markings) but can't share through DLS because the version is too old & incompatible for upgrade. Is there any chance your taxiways could come with either yellow markings or white? Vulcan has bitumen or concrete versions as well. Something to think about.
The 737 is something best directed at Vulcan (who has been very busy of late with loads of new toys). When I've done the 737-200 I've used the other models & ignored the size & engine type for the older re-skin. My Air Canada TANGO is, in therory a 737-200, but doesn't really look like the older no longer in commercial passenger service, aircraft. If you need a model variation, you'll have to ask Vulcan himself. I think I'm probably out of favours from him myself.
That's why I keep re-skinning. I like to think I'm helping..... :Y:

Norm,
I've spent some time with your Lukla route. I look forward to seeing the new version.
