On subject of shadows, I have just changed to TS12 and noticed the rectangular shadows. I had shadows disabled in TS2010 because it affected the framerates and in my opinion unless you are looking at a closeup all the time, the scene doesn't look realistic when buildings, people and vehicles don't cast any shadow at all. I have switched off shadows on TS12 and operate as an overcast day.

The Airbus 340-313 is near finished, it has operating flaps, flaring on landing, startup function similar to the recent C-17, with animated turbine fans. It also has operating reverse thrust. Because of the high flare angle I am currently using an invisible shadow.
The reverse thrust in action:
These are the trigger settings (Aircraft Action Trigger, kuid:76656:24050):
- to start engines, press the B key or use trigger setting 2. An engine start rule is also available for AI.
- manual operation of the flaps, H key.
- issue smoke and sound from the tyres when landing, use trigger setting 4.
- to flare the aircraft for landing, trigger setting 7 or key V.
- operate flaps, trigger setting 8.
- come to a gradual stop on landing, trigger setting 9.
- use reverse thrust on engines for 10 seconds trigger setting 13.
- set speed to 40% of maximum speed, for landing approach, trigger setting 14.

Rob has done some testing for me and made some helpful comments, I have changed some of the operation for the Airbus, and made amendments in the post above.
Using the B key to start the engines also plays the cabin announcement, no need for a horn sound.
Flaps may be manually operated using the H key, and also using track trigger, setting 8.
Here is the A340-462 version, it is the largest A340 variant:

The next ones are the Boeing 777-222 models, this is the shorter version of the 777 - two versions of the United colours:
Then the Boeing 787-8 models, the first in All Nippon Airways:
and I liked the Air India colours:
All the models have startup function and animations as on the A340. I hope the guys take the time to explore the use of the Aircraft Action Trigger (kuid:76656:24050), it really makes flying interesting.
I hope that covers some of the suggestions, and they might keep you and Rob busy for a while.

Oh dear. I've just had a mixture of excitment & dread all in one.
Nice work Ian. That should open up some re-paint oppertunities. I suspect myself & Pascal are going to be busy for quite a while...

I'll volunteer myself for the North & South American airlines. I'll start with Air Canada 777 & A340s & Air New Zealand 777s. After that the major US carriers (and there are many). I'll probably do some LAN & TAM variants somewhere along the way. I can also handle the South African A340 . That should take me though until the end of August (notice I didn't say which year).

Boeing 767-323ER - American Airlines (post US Airways merger)
Before the flurry of new jets gets underway, I have finally completed the Boeing 767 in new American Airlines livery. This one has been troublesome because there are not many photos around to help me with the re-paint & the greys can be a bit of a headache in Trainz. I had to put it to one side a couple of times. uracco, sorry it took so long. So after much frustration....
The airport pushback tractor pulls the freshly painted 767 out of the hanger and over to the passenger terminal.
The old bird lifts it's nose skyward & flies back into normal service.

A one year old toddler in the house doesn't mean I have much time for Trainz these days....
The 767 is currently uploaded & approved, but unlisted. I expect it will appear on DLS sometime in the next day or so.

Let me know if you start the Mexico aircraft. I have plenty of others to keep my busy if your keen to do them. I haven't actually identified exactly how many B777's are in the Americas alone. And that's before I look at the A340 & B787 variants.
