Nice progress nzld, I'm pretty sure Concorde was supposed to be bigger than that, or does it just look small compared to the A380's?:o

Also, I perhaps intend on modelling my local Coolangatta Airport, but I have lots of work to do on Brisbane CityTrain first. Brisbane Airport(s) will be fully equipped for Vulcan's aircraft and operations therein, as soon as Jerker can get the DEM extension to me.

Happy Planezing,;)
Scott.

G'day!

Just remembered I don't have TransDEM for Trainz! If someone could make the terrain for YMML (Melbourne Airport) I would be very greatfull!

Cheers! :)

Hi Scott, I once saw a Concord at Sydney Airport and I was surprised to see how small they where. Like you I thought they would be much bigger but when I saw it beside a 747 Jumbo I thought "WOW that's small". It seemed as though you could almost park the Concord under the Jumbo, at least its wing anyway :hehe:

I also wondered if the passengers could actually stand up inside :hehe:

P.s. While passing Heathrow one day I saw Concorde taking off, Very impressive and VERY LOUD :D (and I was wearing a crash helmet while riding a motorbike with a loud pipe :p )

I was at Sydney Airport when it landed, along with a few other 1000's "sightseers", and it was amazing to see it land. I did not see it actually take off but went to another advantage point to watch it fly over Sydney. The day it came to Sydney it was meeting up with the QEII which also came in that day.

I took the day off work and was on the harbor early in the morning (sunrise) for the QEII (with many 1000's of others :hehe:) and then went to the Airport.

The rest of the day I was in the pub until the Concord took off :hehe:

I was there as well, Could not pass up a chance to see the Concorde. Slightly luckier than you Seeseeme, my uncle and his son were aircraft Engineer (uncle) and mechanic(son - my cousin)for Qantas, so we got a little better vantage points to see it. But yeah was an awesome site to see :) Something I will remember for life. Shame to see it go the way of the Dodo :(

Cheers

Trent

PS: Bill, I haven't had a chance for the hanger schematics yet, as my flu has gotten worse and still have not returned to work, but as soon as I do, i'll get you a copy.

i have another idea
Everyone here seems to be aussie, so you all know the bus at sydney airport that runs around the terminals?? If anyone can make it a vehicle, it would be appreciated
Jamie

Craig, make sure you connect to the innermost track mark at the arrow point

Gordon
Hi Gordon,

I love the Airport layout, looks really good. Whats the purpose of your RED track in the above?

I have tried your AJS turntable and decided on something a little different. I just picked a basic turntable with one entry/exit track, place a trackmark with a radius of 1 and placed it just out of the actual turntable so that when the turntable turns it stays there. For AI control I then use the MoveTurntable comand and InputTable rule and direct my plane to the turntable. It stops just on the turntable as required and from the the command I instruct it to turn to next stop. As there is only one stop I never have to worry about setting it up for another plane, it will always turn it to the "next" stop which will be in the correct direction for exit.

Many thanks for the idea, now all I need to do is change my Hangers around at my Wagga Air Force Base :hehe:

A new hangar for the A380 in 3 versions, with doors open, in between and closed (and are static),
The hangar can be re-numbered and has inv-track in the middle of the door openings.
See through doors and skylights.

Will be available soon. :hehe:

Cheers,

Bill.

Bill,

The first thing I said when I saw your new Hangers was "WOW !!" :hehe:

They look great, another excellent contribution to our new Aviation Simulator :)

Ops, that right Trainz is about Trains and anything to do with Trains like boats, trams, cars, moving people, animals, and many other things and Planez and Airports, and Hangers and more Aviation stuff :hehe:

Hi Craig,

Jamie was right it's for my baggage tractors and service vans to move in and around the aircraft.

Good to see you add your own twist to the turntables, I used the AJS turntable just because it would rotate automatically but if i move the track marker as you did it should work the same way and only need the one marker, i`ll try it out.

Gordon

Craig, I thnk it's for his tractors'

Thanks for that Jamie and Gordon, I had forgotten about the baggage tractors. I'll have to put some in at Wagga at some stage, small details like that are being left to last :)

Gordon, I did not realise that about the AJS turntable, maybe that's why it did not work the way I wanted it too :hehe:. The single turntable I use and the rules are great now, I just had to adjust the radius for the trackmark as the nose of a F111 rotates outside of the Hangers I am using at the moment :hehe:

I now have a rescue and tourist helicopter service at Wagga too using Ian's Helicopter Lift Tables :)
