New ADM Hopper Suggestion

I decided to try my hand at re-skinning. I took the one of the hopper kits from Jointed Rail and gave it a shot.

I would like comments or suggestions.

I like it, i would get rid of the auto made text and maybe make your own cause the safety strips on it dont work with the text being all see through and all.

I agree there are issues along the bottom but the rest of it is sweet! I'm looking for variations on the ADM theme and that fits right in...

Okay, so I tried putting my own lettering on the .tga and it appears blurred when seen in the game. I'm sure it is because the image is stretched when placed on the model.

How can I make the lettering clear?

Honestly what i have done is made the text on the image file in the psd and added it where it needs to go, everything i have done i created myself using text or making a image then placed it where it needs to go and never really used the auto text that comes with them. Just the auto numbering is what i usually keep. So in the config i would set the auto text or something not sure of the name to 0 save the config file. Then when that is set to no it will not show but the text you have made. Its a better alternative because its not stretched it will look better like the logo.

What bits are you saving it as?? When you save as a tga file it should as you what resolution you are saving it as what do you select? And what is the file size in pixels you are saving it as?

I have been choosing 32bits/pixel. Not sure how to find the file size in pixels.

Could be maybe mess around with the settings of the fonts, like crisp, strong, smooth stuff like that see if that helps out.

Since I am an outsider just peeking...

It appears as if the final .TGA file may be 256x256.
A file resolution of 1024x1024 may solve part of the
problem, IF thats the case

Your work is excellent.

As for any content creator, truly only the creator should be happy with his/her efforts and results.

As a suggestion, if you were to experiment with layers in Photoshop and rust textures, this effect would give added realism to the rolling stock. As I state, this is only a suggestion.

I'm very proficient in Photoshop just not weathering. I'm going to try my hand at creating the unit below. My ultimate goal is a set of 5 - 10 of these in a pack. I've found some great pictures on the web.

I'll be working on them this weekend and i guess looking at a bunch of tutorials.
