Hi All,
I'm getting ready to spend some hard earned money on TRS2012 From Down under. Will that have all the patches installed? Also will it have the routs that are in TSR2010? I'm very much thinking about getting the 10th Anniversary Collectors Edition.

Thanks, and Merry Christmas!

The first thing is will your comp run it well enough, at least a fast dual core @3ghz and a good graphics card.
Then think about spending the money.

Personally 2010 is better as it has compatibility mode which allows you to use older content, I don't think 2012 has.
Have a read on the 2012 forum/section to gauge reactions/moans etc.

Hello Robert,

I'd stick with TS2010 now. It has Compatibility Mode (Unless you got the Multiplayer Beta like I did) and most of the old routes, plus some new ones. TS12 will not have all the patches installed. You will need 3-4 or even 5 patches. TS12 has NONE of the original routes. Content-wise, TS12 sucks. I HATE it. I would give it away to someone, but I can't.

Back in October I did a major upgrade to Duo Core and DDR2 Ram Also new MoBo....Well I did Some checking on the TRS2012 forum and it seems to me that the bugs are not worked out yet. So i think I'll go for TRS2010.

Thanks for the imput. Robert.

From a clean install, TS12 requires only 2 patches and both are auto patching, having just done a clean re-load myself. As for content, I have over 198,000 items which all work in TS12. It has a couple of previous routes but mainly new ones. As for hardware, to get reasonable performance, Win7 32/64 bit, core duo or amd dual core or better, nvidia 8800GT or better and 2GB ram but better with 4GB ram, DDR2 or better.

Hope that answers some of your concerns.

Peter

All TS10 content can be bought into TS12. I've done it and its amazing. The potential of multiplayer has yet to be utilised to its fullest. I dont care so much for older stuff. Thats what earlier versions are for.
Just my 2bobs worth. (I'm extremely lucky in that hard yakka and lots of it means I run 12gb of DDR3 ram on Win7/64).
