need layout suggestions for routes 5 & 6

I am in the process of finalising routes 5 & 6 CD's and have about 8 layouts so far ready to go.

Any other suggestions for medium sized routes to go on them?

The route offers interest and variety, good frame rates and, perhaps most importantly, all the assets are on the Download Station.

Alan, I'd suggest you do a search on the DLS for layouts by the users ikael and N-DY, both have made some very high quality routes that I think are well worth including with Trainz routes.

Hello Alan, it all depends which country or continent you have in mind, lots of medium size layouts to chose from for the UK, Aussy, USA, Canada, etc...Maybe one of Phil Skene's perhaps, as it could fit into any nation's category as he has made them so universal, they would complement any country's railway operations and signalling infrastructure, and I think he has done some sessions as well, which would bode well for the community as a whole.
Also, what about something from the Far East, that may catch a lot of interest from us trainz fans, and we don't really have much from the Orient as regards medium sized layouts to play on.

Seems everyone wants working sessions on 05 & 06.

Anyway some layouts I'm looking at using include

Puffing Billy
Kent & East Sussex Railway
RiversideRailroadCo
DB Projekt
Brisbane to Gold Coast
Aotearoa
HO DCC Layout

but this may change, I'll look at some of the layouts mentioned in this thread.

@ WileeCoyote - I was looking at DB Projekt by ikael... another layout with sessions. Is their a better layout on the DLS by him?

@ trackplate - yeah got that one saved, but maybe for future collections as I'm trying to use different creators in each edition. 3 & 4 are out this week.

@ misterchugg - is that going in the route builders competition? I'd rather avoid any layouts destined for that.

Hello again Alan, if you wanted a mainland European layout, there are the French TGV layouts by befsztyk KUID 58316, all electrified and beautifully textured, with his fantastic bridges. There is the Baltic Railway by Skaning KUID 35775, he also did a small Southern Germany route as well. There are a few wonderful layouts by Pangel Anton KUID 208598, I featured a few screenshots of his German Niddertalbahn route only last week using steam traction.....Just chucking a few more ideas into the hat.

Edit. Just thinking about it, I'm unsure if some of the main European routes haven't already been featured in TRS2006 and TRS2007 on sale in France, Germany, Spain, Italy, etc, I don't think you would want to have them again on another Trainz CD would you ??

"B-Project" and "B-Project Extended" are incredible routes that would go nicely on CD's.

Hi Alan: My Valleyfields layouts are certainly available if you so wish (Valleyfields BRER 1960's also available in 4-6wks). These layouts are UK DCC oriented and should work fine without a high end pc!
