It's needed for some of Cincysouthernrwy gp40 locos.

The Kuid for this loco is 45588:3217

I have no idea what this kuid -1:175 is for.

Kind regards,

sdpnz.

believe thats a built in item if ya open up the cmp and search the gp40s
find the one your lookin for right click it...
click on (view dependancies)then click the tab (view in main list)
that kuid will show up and ya can see if its flagged then simply click edit and revert file should fix the flag if not you will have to fix it in the ccp
if i not mistakin is that kuid-10:175 gp38 bogie?

if ya did changew bogies you also need to remove it from the kuid files of the gp40 loco in the ccp and replace it with a new bogie that ya replaced........

same manor works for any file that maybe changed such as horn eng spec eng sound etc....

Sorry but I don't understand the way you are talking here.

translation ish

Kuid -1:175, should it be -10:175 gp 38 bogie.
Open for edit in cm and revert to original, see if that works.
If not change the kuid number to -10 where it reads -1. In the config file that is.

kuid:45588:3217 is a UTC (build 1.3) loco. If you use CCP to edit it, it will up the build number to that of your CCP which might cause other problems. To fix this loco, right click it and select Edit - Edit in Explorer. Double click the config.txt file to open it in Notepad. Change the kuid from -1:175 to -10:175 for the bogey and bogey-1 tags. Then scroll to the bottom to the kuid-table. Note that line 0 is already <kuid:-10:175> so leave it alone. Line 5 references <kuid:-1:175> so delete that line.
At this point I closed/saved the config.txt file and commited it. A new error showed up, CM expects a shadow file. I opened it for Edit - Edit in Explorer again and added a mesh table that looks like the following. Just copy these 6 lines and paste into the config.txt file, putting it just above the running-numbers line.
mesh-table
{
default
{
mesh "GP40 Ohio Central 3217_body\GP40 Ohio Central 3217_body.pm"
auto-create 1
}
}

Again, close, save and commit.

rweber95, your comment about CCP upping the build number (automatically) is not strictly true - you have to respond to an important Yes/No box first.

Clicking No on said box ('Please upgrade your config file') will make CCP not alter the trainz-build tag.

It's only when Yes is clicked that that happens.

In my TS2010 (44088) When I select Open with CCP, I get a window stating that "This content was created for an older version. If you proceed, this content will be upgraded to comply with current standards..." My only choices are OK or Cancel. Clicking either choice clears the window but leaves CCP open. If I edit the kuid using CCP and then chose to exit via File - Save, the saved file's build number is bumped to 2.9 with corresponding error checking standards. Any other choice kills my changes. There are no other options.

Bob,
Couldn't you make the changes by using edit in explorer, it wouldn't auto update the build number that way.

That's a bit odd - whenever I've made edits using CCP (clicking the No/Cancel button), then saved the changes, the build number has remained the same.
