Need help - can't decouple

Just learning the system. Need help. When I click to decouple and system says it's ready to decouple, the throttle dial disappears so I can't pull the loco away. What am I doing wrong?????:'( I'm in TS 2010 and can't get through the 2nd tutorial.

I generally drive in CAB mode but the procedure is essentially the same. Hit the #4 key on the keyboard for the free wander view, move to the side of the train where you want to uncouple, then CTRL D (or the uncouple button).

Hover the mouse over the coupler and you get a red coupler icon, click on that;

And it changes to an open coupler, now you're uncoupled and ready to back (or pull) away.

Thak you. I believe I was "double clicking" which openned and then closed the coupler.
