To get the earlier content, do not use Content Manager to search the DLS. Use IE to go to the Web Based version of the DLS and enter a search for "Canadian National" with all game versions checked, specify description and then "Locomotives" for Category. This will supply 30 items (not all locos actually).

Remember, these are not native 09 content items so you may have to do some work to get them to work in 09 such as download dependencies or modify the config.txt file. Search the Forum for other fixes as problems occur - the fixes have been explained previously.

have you tried world of trainz and jointed rail web sites they also have some cn engines but they are payware and i do not know if you want these or not. just a thought. I do not what version of trainz you have if its 06, 10, 09 you may need to look into that if these engines work. engines will work in trs04 and 06 but It did not say anything about trs 09 or 10
