Need a bit of help please

I have been playing around creating my own railroad and i want to do a reformat on my computer. Where do i go to save the track i have made and what would it be called. I have spent hours on it so i would hate to loose it. I think it is a kud file but i really dont know. Any help would be great.

what version of Trainz are you running?

If 2006 go to CMP, at the top click on my content, all you've done will come up. Find route, r/click, select archive, tick box (save all dependancies). If you have 2 hard drives put it in the one not to be formatted. If not you will have to save to cd.
A tip.
When you have formatted drive partition it. Say its 200gb do 5x40 gb partitions or 4x50. you can name them say, system drivers,trainz,games,others. Then if it comes to format time again you dont loose everything unless the drive fails!.

Thanks but i have TS2009. Is it the same way.
