NC Transportation Museum to host 2014 Streamliner Festival!

Yep. The event is supposed to mirror the Heritage Family Photo in 2012. I do have units that are confirmed to be there.
From the hosts at the North Carolina Transportation Museum
SOU FP7 #6133
SOU E8 #6900 (will run on her own for the first time in years at the event)
ACL E3 #501 (most likely won't run due to A LOT of red tape, engine is still owned by the state of NC)

From Norfolk Southern
They will send part of their Office Car Special down there. What units will be there is the question?

Also, Bennett Levin has said he will bring his PRR E8's to the event as well.

The list is bound to grow as the NCTM is in contact with museums and owners from all across the country. I'll post updates if you guys so desire.

I got more news!!

News from the NCTM on their Streamliners at Spencer event taking place from May 29th to June 1st. 3 other engines have been confirmed to arrive to Spencer for the event. The Anthricite Railroads Historical Society and the Tri-State Railway Historical Society will send their 2 F3's in DLW paint and the Railroad Museum of New England will send their former New Haven FL9 to Spencer. This now makes it 7 visiting locomotive to Spencer for the event and there will be more coming soon.

This is cool. The DLW was quite the player up in NY and PA up until their merger with the Erie.

Breaking News: From a reliable source at the NCTM, The museum will be operating former Atlantic Coast Line E3 #501! This will be the first time in several years this engine will be in operation as it is owned by the state and not by the museum. This will mean all visiting diesels for the event so far will be in Operation. #501 is the only E3 remaining.

Cab Count is now at 14!!
The United Railroad Historical Society of NJ is sending Reading F7 #284 and Soo Line #2500A will be making the trip to Spencer. Tickets will go on sale January 30th.

This is going to be quite the show. I will try to come down to the NCTM and see all these vintage diesels operating and whatever diesels Norfolk Southern sends down with the Office Car Special cars.

New Unit and some other things coming!!

Iowa Pacific is sending their Illinois Central inspired unit #515 and more is coming as well. Word is according to Trains Mag, Amtrak and NCDOT will be sending display trains for this event.

the link is there for a reason because what I'm about to say may be hard for some to handle. This ain't a joke either. The Virginia Museum of Transportation has just announced that #611 is going to come down to Spencer to begin the restoration on May 24th meaning she will be an "unofficial" part of the streamliners event.

Can't have a streamliner festival without a steam locomotive, can we? Nice to see 611 going somewhere at last. It's a pity how little US streamlined steamers survived- personally I cannot believe not one NYC Hudson was saved. Perhaps a new build is in order?
EDIT-The Smithsonian asked for one, but even they were turned down! In comparison, 3 UK LNER A4 Pacifics were officially preserved by British Railways when they were withdrawn-with another three preserved privately. The NYC's attitude to their heritage must have been awful.

Well, it looks like the list is going to be rounded off with this last piece of equipment. Trains Magazine has an article stating that the owner of NKP Alco PA #190, is going to bring the engine across the nation from Portland, Oregon to Spencer, NC for the Streamliners event.

I stand corrected on last Piece of equipment. The last piece of equipment is Erie 833, which is sitting in Port Jervis, NY
