Narrow gauge screenshots

Much of it is on the DLS but all the names are in German so I always have a hard time finding them. I don't even know the author's name.
I too have been stumped on occasions by the language barrier, i find online translators help, but the lack of screenshots for a lot of items is also an issue, nothiing worse than a asset in only serbo croat and no screenshot or description at all to go with it .......i think the DLS supervisors should at least include some indication as what the asset is in addition to its category....

as for workshop stuff, i was going to ask Ben to do a few for me but of course thats no longer an option . there's a dearth of little items that make scenes look realistic , we have dozens of barrels , wooden loads, etc , but few hammers, spades , picks etc
old railroads drove rails vertically into the ground to stop erosion, there are masses of horizontal rails but none that can swivel vertically as far as know and all the trackside workers produced recently are swathed in acres of fluorescent clothing and i have given up ever finding any realistic looking humans for older routes.:-(

That's beautiful Graham! Thanks for the info on those lovely Mick1960 assets.

Thanks Norm, my fellow clam bucket fan :)

I'll try and dig out some more useful assets you could use.

I've been doing my development on a PC with a GTX 750ti card and have reached max detail.
I am about to move files to my GTX 1070 machine so watch out for many Narrow Gauge updates and route/modelz releases including a set of helix assets :)

Someone once said to me that wnen you retire from business you won't know what to do with your time.

I have since found out what to do :)

We have a winner, indeed these are sugar beets. I was hoping the hit providing the time of year instead of the date would make people think it is an agricultural product.

During the crisis of the 80s and early 90s, autumn sugar beet transports were the factor that kept many narrow gauge railways here from being dismantled. Today they function perfectly fine, usually most income is from tourism.

This wouldn't be that bad of a guess, as many of the NG railways in Central Poland did in fact carry peat. Though peat would normally be carried in metal wagons rather than these wooden trucks.
I used to live on the fens in the U.K., prime sugar beet country , and late harvest , they used to fall off the carts and if you hit one they played hell with your suspension, those things are really hard !

Amazing work Graham. The Aplentor cuased me to search for my jaw on the floor.

Thank you, but hold on to your jaw again..

To those enquiring about the macinery in my previous post,

Author mick1960

They are...

<kuid:206616:1472> MV_Gruenderzeitfabrik_Maschinenhalle

<kuid:206616:1475> MV Gruenderzeitfabrik Maschinenset-01, This is a fantastic animated machine!

<kuid:206616:100222> MV_Feuerkorb

<kuid:206616:1487> MV Stammware Eiche

Enjoy your search!
fantastic ,there's a treasure trove here !

Zsuda,

Thank you for your screenshots, I'm pleased to see my G42 Garratt actually doing some work. The real G42 is still working for her living on the Puffing Billy railway in Victoria, she was built in 1925 with her sister G41. 93 years old, just over 3 years older than me.

narrowgauge.

i saw her a few years ago when we went over to Victoria , but she wasn't steamed up.....very nice machine , love Garretts !

I used to live on the fens in the U.K., prime sugar beet country , and late harvest , they used to fall off the carts and if you hit one they played hell with your suspension, those things are really hard !

I live in So California, and I think it was Southern Pacific a few times of the year, and this is going way back,

I would see these heavy, and I mean heavy cars full of something coming from somewhere, possibly Oxnard, with this Ag product. And I couldn't quit figure out what they were because of height I was viewing from. Asked someone on the Railroad, who was laughing a little at my question, tells me, Oh that's just our Sugar Beet train that runs in picking season. I put a link below, looks like they might move from Idaho and a very select few other small areas as late as 2017.

Got the suspicion that when High Fructose Corn Syrup came on the scene, it was a death knell for Sugar Beet Growers, causing it to become a small unique commodity rather than common like Potatoes Tomatoes or other types of Vegetables.......

You bring back some old memories of things I saw as a Kid.....Wow I'm dating myself, I have to stop doing that more often. :hehe:

Thank you sir for the info, I thought these were really unusual items for Factories.............And the fact they Smoke is definitely an added bonus too!

Every item I listed I got via TANE CM.

I am compiling a list of more 'foreign' universal items but as usual real life gets in the way of my virtual life, so it will be done ASAP.

Meanwhile here's some shots of the first NG model layout that I will put on the DLS, probably Early June.

Welcome to Warrenberg

[...]Author mick1960[...]

Thank you very much for your appreciation of my assets! Many of those are quite old already. At that time I was not so aware that they would spread around the world so I was silly enough not to use an English description. I would like to update them but I am afraid this might be more difficult than simply add the description and raise the build number. I hope that at least the $screenshot$ of the assets might help to figure out what each asset is.
But if I can be at any assistance to translate their names let me know.

Here I am reportinging quite often about some of my actual assets and you can contact me there also quite easy in case someone might want to know something. And don't hesitate to use English even it is a german forum, no problem at all!

mick1960!

Hello Mick, nice to see you here and thank you for your post.

I agree that the forum that Mick linked to is a great place to visit, you can also see some of my screenshots there and many, many more by fellow Trainzers that don't get shown here.
