Hey trainboi,

Nice shot! It's about time somebody made a decent model of the Georgetown loop.
If you are interested, I re-skinned a black version of the Devil's Gate Viaduct if you are interested; since it is black in real life. Just check the DLS.

XD It's Rob Hanson's route, I'm just using it to test my locos because they needed prototypical grades. I'm very interested in this black version of the Devil's Gate Viaduct though.:) No idea if or when he'll finish the route to his satisfaction.

I wonder if some NG15's are in the pipeline next... :p I love SA 2ft stuff, it's like a mainline in miniature!

After seeing some forestry railroads in Romania, I had the idea of building a modern day one too. It's based in the NC swamps around my area, and they do selective logging rather than clear cutting like they do around here. Here is one of my shots in the building process of my railroad. It's called the "Barefoot & Southern Forestry Railroad"

I'll just send the link since the file is large

Rock On!

Some more from me, including some more exotic (to Wales) motive power. It would be interesting to see some US style locos on the WHR, and it's not entirley unlikely either, what with the Brecon Mountain railway building two Sandy River & Rangeley Lake replicas.

My word Ed, you've been busy!
Here's some from across the pond:

#66 slowed a little coming up the initial grades from Georgetown, but here on her way out of town, she has a chance to regain her speed.

Speeding a little on the viaduct so as not to stall on the next hill. This didn't work, and #72 had to come up from below Georgetown to push the train.

By the time we reach Hall Tunnel, #66 can take her train alone once more. #72, out of frame, has just shut off steam and is to be uncoupled and run onto the empty siding on the other side of the Tunnel entrance.

We've left #72 behind and head away as she backs into the siding.

A view from the Tunnel, watching the helper back down behind the Tunnel while #66 takes the high line in the distance.

The last of the grade is significantly easier than the section leading to Hall Tunnel and so the train roars into Silver Plume with power to spare.

We finally enter Silver Plume, where the engine slips past a large house. From here, we'll switch our train in the two passing loops, giving most of the boxcars to the town, and leaving the flatcar and gondolas on the wye spur.

I love the Georgetown Loop, and have actually been in a train that slipped it's drivers and couldn't get restarted in this very spot! Keep up the good work on this route.

Now if only we could convince him to add Oil-burning No. 70 to his C&S Roster....

Blackhawk-Central City line, eh? I do like the Lindsey Ashby tourist RR that was set up there, and the Giant's Ladder and Gilpin tram are pretty neat and all, but I feel as though we'd need one or two Central American 2-8-0s (*cough*40 and 44*Cough) to do said line properly....:hehe:

Convince me??? Dude, I want to, but things take time, and I'm feeling lazy at the moment.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the 40 and 44 were only bought during the preservation days of the Loop. They aren't C&S-era engines and never worked the Central City line, to my knowledge at least, even in preservation. You get moguls and Baldwin consolidations for that.;) I do also hope to be getting plans for Gilpin #1 soon, and will be working on it once #70 and 74-76 are out of the shops...Probably the Georgetown depot too, it needs a proper model, not just a reskin.:)
