Narrow gauge content

Not an answer - another question

May as well keep my query within this thread!:)

I need a narrow gauge container wagon (hopper)? industry enabled for woodchips, whilst I can find loads of wagons for logs and planks I haven't been able to find anything for woodchips.

Can anyone point me to an appropriate source please?

Many thanks

I am looking for a rusty 3 foot gauge high detailed wood sleeper track.
A rusty 3 foot gauge rail only track.
A rusty 3 foot gauge no ballast track.
A rusty track 3 foot gauge timber trestle that has rusty track.

I am presently using 1000mm_NG_Gras by Hupfgeign which has pretty good detailed rail and spikes, and has a feathered raised trackbed that overcomes the dreaded 0.20m floating track desease.

I tried colorado71 3 foot track, but there is only awfull looking enbankment "Fill Track" to match his wonderful 3 foot CO_ Trestles.

I really hate "fill type" tracks with he steep sharp ballast embankments.

Why can't someone make backwoods tracks that look realistic ? Imaculatly clean, brand new freshly ballasted tracks look unprototypical.

Overall most tracks worldwide look so similar ... why are there a zillion tracks on the DLS that ALL look terrible ?

I suppose that 09/10 tracks look better than 04/06 ... as the detail just isn't there in 04/06.

The 30" locos on this site look particularly interesting for a project I'm considering, as yet undecided whether it will be in Railworks (which doesn't have that much heavy duty ng stuff) or TS2009 which would be better from the point of view of doing the mountainous scenery.

However the site reads to me that the locos have been built to TRS2004 standards so wondering how this reflects in terms of realistic performance (physics) and fuel/water consumption etc. If the accuracy is good, that could clinch the decision.

Guess I should probably just take the plunge and buy Murchison 2 for the ng stock though that does mean if the route ever gets made/uploaded there would be a payware dependancy requirement.

Sodor Island 3D has 2' 5" locomotives, rolling stock, buildings & 2 entire routes. Even if they're fictional, they very high quality.

Also, SI3D 2009 has 15" gauge minature locomotives & rolling stock. Other people are working on routes for them.
