I'm thinking of adding a museum in my narrow gauge route, but I couldn't find a good building for it. does anyone else know of a good museum building?

How long is a piece of string?

Perhaps some parameters might help jog some memories.
  • Is it going to be a railway museum connected to the tracks or a stand-alone museum not connected to trains or railways?
  • What style - modern, art deco, post modernist, reused factory or rail maintenance building?
  • Small, medium, large?

On the DLS there is <kuid:304444:104395> THE TRAINZ MUSEUM & GALLERY EMPTY V1 by neville_hill. That is standard gauge. There is a map, I don't now the name in this moment, where the mentioned museum map is integrated with tracks, leading to the museum.

This map is the perfect place to start building a museum, and provides lots of ideas.

Thanks MichelLmbrt... I put a couple of versions on the DLS but as Swordfish suggests it also forms part of the Dearnbyshire v2 layout where it has its own dedicated station on the mainline alongside.
If the architectural style is appropriate then it can easily be trimmed to a smaller size as it is built up from an assembly of various AJS station components, all on the DLS. It could easily be converted to NG with a bulk replacement of track.

NB it contains various monuments and statues to Trainz luminaries, which you may or may not want to retain eg the monument to the missing kuid...!
