My stuff is gone

I had to do a hard reset of my computer and now my Trainz stuff I downloaded is gone. Why is this? It's unfair. I have to start everything over again. What do I do. I'm playing Trainz 22.

If you reset your computer, presumably all your files are gone, not just your Trainz stuff... then yes you'd need to restart over, but then you'd need to do that for everything.

If all you did was force close Trainz, just do a database repair.

Well that's annoying. Because I had to reset due to a malfunctioning Windows Hello.

If there is a keyword in Trainz, it is Backup ... it even asks you during installation if you want to save your local folders and files - the ones that are not included - in another location or disk. This is valid for any software, in my opinion...
If you just rebooted your PC, a Database Repair will suffice ... hopefully and if you haven't corrupted anything important.

Check your file system, there are two ways to reset your computer, the default one leaves the data files in place. You might need to reinstall TS22 but it should be possible to reconnect to your content.

Step one use explorer to see if there are any data files around. Step two back up your system. Control panel backup and restore win7 works well. You might need an external hard drive.

Literally everything. I restarted my computer multiple times, turned off and on the biometric devices and it didn't work. I felt there was no other choice.

If he doesn't have a backup, system restore is not going to put it back.

After some hours of work, I got his route back. Apperently there was a problem of reading the config after a game shutdown.
