This is a layout I've been working on, it is a layout of a fictional US shortline railroad with a terminal, a branchline, and a connection to a main, non-specific rail line! It's gone through countless incarnations, and I've endured countless CTD's, and corruption to get it up and going! The layout is set in the late 50's-early 70's, but beyond that, it doesn't really have much of a detailed history, it's mostly a playground for the trains I like! Here, take a look:
Here's the roundhouse at the westernmost end. Plenty of space for engines!
Freight yard near the docks:
The passenger terminal:
The other side, with trains waiting:
A branch ine goes off here, then rejoins further up:
Tunnel through the hill, with the abandoned older tunnel next to it:
Branch rejoins here:
The next station, with the dead line in the background:
Another view of the dead line, with a bunch of derelict engines and cars littered around it:
Freight station just north of the scrap line:
So that's the route so far! Am I going to release it? Probably not. As some of you probably noticed, it is SI3D's Island of Sodor route, fairly substantially modified and set in the US. So I thought I'd just share some of my touches that may inspire some of you all! There's much more to see, so stay tuned!
