My route- something that Trainz has never seen, until now.

Can you guess the location? It's in the northeastern US. I suppose the railcars will give it away.
It's a route I'm working on. Something which has been sorely lacking in Trainz.

I also want to recreate a late 70's version when the trains went further with diesel power.
Like to the city near me. When Daddona and Fischl were mayors. And Paul Marcincin in the "steel city"
that my father (deceased since Mar 8, 1986) worked in. Frank Rizzo was the mayor in 1978 in the
main city on this route. Rizzo's gone now and William Green succeeded him in 1980 until 1984.
Can you guess the cities yet? Hint: This was originally a route of the "Bee Line" railroad, then became
"Big Blue".

He's looking for the "cities" - I assume associated with the mayors mentioned. Philadelphia, PA is definitely the main one. The others I'm not sure of. Did the trainz go as far as Allentown or Bethlehem? I'll have to do some research.

Bob Pearson

Edit:
Yes I think I'm right Philadelphia, Allentown and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Didn't realize Bee Line was a slogan used by the Reading RR.

The location in the screenshot is Lansdale, PA where the Doylestown line diverges from the main line. The railcars on the left are the recently released Reading Blueliners, reskinned by me into SEPTA colors from the late 70's, and the silver cars are the SEPTA Silverliner IV's that I downloaded a few years ago it is a beta and the link is no longer available. I had to fix several errors in order to get them to work in 12. I only have a few miles of track south of Lansdale so far, and the track north to Quakertown and Bethlehem and the Doylestown line to Colmar, and I modeled the old Reading Terminal in Phila. and a bit of the Reading Viaduct like it was in the late 70's. I plan to merge the NEC Wilmington route with this one because 30th St. Station area is already modeled. My route is fishlipsatworks blank DEM from Bethlehem to Phila. and I plan to model the entire railroad like it was, even the section through Lehigh and Northampton Counties to Bethlehem that was torn up a few years ago. From June 1978 to Sept 1979, service was extended to Allentown, PA. The service was operated by Conrail under contract with SEPTA, Conrail wanted out of the commuter business by 1982, in early 1983 the state agencies like SEPTA, NJT, etc. took over the operation of Conrail's commuter services. All of the Conrail/SEPTA diesel services were terminated during mid-late 1981, except the Newtown service which lasted until early 1983. The ex-Reading open window Blueliner cars were retired 1990 and most sold to tourist railroads in PA. I have no idea when I'll complete the rest of the railroad between Lansdale and Philadelphia. There is a Harrisburg to Phillipsburg, NJ (beta from Reading to Phillipsburg) route being released sometime this year, I might merge my route with that in order to have Bethlehem already modeled. And I could then add the route between south of Reading, PA and North Phila. There is another route from Reading to Phillipsburg but it's not as detailed as the new route. It was about 56 miles from Bethlehem Union Station to Reading Terminal. And about 61 miles from Allentown. I have old timetables that show the mileage. The Allentown stop was nothing more than a gravel parking lot with a bus stop style shelter saying ALLENTOWN on the top on both sides and a few benches where you waited for the train. Here are two pictures. The concrete platform was the old Lehigh Valley Railroad platform, the station was torn down in the mid-60's.
