My Retirement Anouncement

ANL 4500HP Turbine's truck fixed!

As for fixing the 4500 Turbines the problem seems to be the

<kuid:353984:1166> GETL front
<kuid:353984:1167> GETL back
and
<kuid:353984:1175> GETL back silver
<kuid:353984:1176> GETL front silver

which appear to be bogies but the config is different from other bogie files I have. Probably built to an earlier standard. I have no idea how to fix these so if some bogie expert wants to offer their suggestions that would be wonderful.

Edit: Ah, these are like the bolsters on multi truck railcars... Edit: I suspect that the actual bogie section of this needs to be spun off into a standard bogie asset and the bolster set up as a separate asset. I might take a swing at this.

Edit: OK I worked on these for awhile and it looks like it will be up to someone else to create working bogies for these.

I actually fix that problem by the way you did in Edit one, it can be done by add "sideplay-permitted 1" on those 4 AAR trurk in bogey container. That's what Auran did on old former built-in EF81's center truck.
Here is my bogey container set up:
Code:
bogeys
{
  bog0
  {
    bogey <kuid:353984:1166> //Reassign to be "GETL span bolster front". I put "up turbine front bog.im" and "coupler.im" here.
                                                           //Note: Both span bolster and coupler have same model and texture between "GETL front" and "GETL front silver".
  }

  bog1
  {
    bogey <kuid:353984:1167> //Reassign to be "GETL span bolster back". I put "up turbine rear bog.im" and "coupler.im" here.
                                                           //Note: Both span bolster and coupler have same model and texture between "GETL back" and "GETL back silver".
                                                           //Caution: "up turbine rear bog.im" use "turbine bogy textures rear bake.texture.txt" instead of "turbine bogy textures.texture.txt".
  }

  bog2
  {
    bogey <kuid:353984:1175> //Reassign to be "GETL AAR truck" and <kuid:353984:1176> assign to "GETL AAR truck silver", since there is no different between "aarbtruck.im" in front and back.
                                                           //Note: That AAR truck is made by simulatortrain as anl mention which was use on AS-16s that were originally release in [URL="https://web.archive.org/web/20101122214927/http://mgtrainz2.webs.com:80/as16s.htm"]MGTrainz[/URL]. anl simply re-mapping and baking AO for them.
    sideplay-permitted                  1
  }

  bog3
  {
    bogey                               <kuid:353984:1175>
    sideplay-permitted                  1
  }

  bog4
  {
    bogey                               <kuid:353984:1175>
    sideplay-permitted                  1
  }

  bog5
  {
    bogey                               <kuid:353984:1175>
    sideplay-permitted                  1
  }
}

And here are attach points for this set up:
Code:
Carbody Turbine:
a.bog2 X:0 Y:-4.904287 Z:-0.01225
a.bog3 X:0 Y: 4.026789 Z:-0.01225
a.bog4 X:0 Y:-9.827041 Z:-0.01225
a.bog5 X:0 Y: 8.949544 Z:-0.01225

Veranda Turbine:
a.bog0 X:0 Y:-5.907661 Z: 1.55747
a.bog1 X:0 Y: 6.428522 Z: 1.55747
a.bog2 X:0 Y:-3.71056  Z:-0.01225
a.bog3 X:0 Y: 4.282217 Z:-0.01225
a.bog4 X:0 Y:-8.633314 Z:-0.01225
a.bog5 X:0 Y: 9.204972 Z:-0.01225

This work fine in T:ANE SP2.(I set opacity to 0.3 to help you see clearly on truck)

You also require to add "sideplay-permitted 1" on those 4 AAR truck in Bogeys container to make them adhere to rail. That is what Auran did on old former built-in EF81's center truck.

It's work fine in T:ANE SP2 after fix. (I set opacity to 0.3 to help you see clearly)

Thanks!

Whatever I try, I can not get the middle bogey to move sideways.
The back bogey will, but that's not want i want.

☼ ? ☼
That's because the order of the truck, a.bog0 and a.bog1 is a pair of front and rear and a.bog2 is another pair. Look into Auran's EF81, and you will find the center truck is a.bog2 not what DD51 is.
You can fix by add new attachment mesh that have new a.bog1 and a.bog2 set up(Simply exchange each other) in mesh-tables's "default" to override DD51_body.im's old set up.

I have been having an issue with the CSA-2 Challengers crashing the game when they reach 35-36 MPH, the CSA-1s seem to be unaffected.

I had/have a similar issue with the Challengers from Trainz Italia, but I was able to fix them by supplementing their engine specs with those of the Big Boy, which is what both the CSA-1s and CSA-2s already use and I have tried to supplementing the CSA-2's spec with other's but I have had no success so far.

Well it's crashing for me upon reaching 36 MPH. I have managed to record the crash in action with Bandicam.

It doesn't happen on a empty baseboard, but it does occur on every other route I have tried it on.

Including Legacy of the BN, Cajon Pass Extreme, Mojave Subdivision, Kickstarter County, and Coal Country.

Also TTT-6 5511 is giving me the same problem as well.

Then the only thing I can think of is a graphics problem?
Too much movement of scenery?

But why it is only happening with those 2 locs... ??

I have other steam locomotives that suffer from the same problem as well like as I mentioned the Challengers by Trainz Italia and Auran's C&O H8.

Here's my specifications if that's needed.
