My Retirement Anouncement

The #80 never worked right, the turbine would through turbine blades out the sides. None of the turbines could be run in a city as they sound just like a jet plane.

Still according to Wikipedia it was in service for 20 months and racked up just under 10,000 miles. Not really a success but an interesting experiment. (and it looks cool; big, ugly, armor yellow what's not to like?)

All of them? This is the list I put together from the RRMods site.

ALCO FA

Great Northern
Missouri Pacific
New York Central
Spokane Portland & Seattle
Union Pacific ver1
Union Pacific ver2

ALCO PA

Southern Pacific Bloody Nose
New Haven
Southern reskin by Simulatortrain

ALCO PA-PB

Southern Pacific
Union Pacific
Sante Fe

It would be great if you could send them to JohnWhelan (although I'm not sure he knew what he was getting into). :D

Send him a PM and see what he says and thanks for the offer. Community at work!

It might be useful to have a descriptive text describing what is in each zip. I wouldn't recognise any of them as I'm more into pregrouping UK assets.

Thanks John

I can't download the Turbines from JATWS.ORG, it keeps saying "Failed - Server Problem" although it downloaded the SW-9s just fine.

NVM, it's finally going through.

John, thanks a lot for making ANL's locomotive available again!

@normhart: I just downloaded the Coal Turbine with no issues.

Nice those turbines... but it's not working a full 100%

Did you noticed:

Besides the problem with the engine specs.
(they speed up slower than an old Citroën 2cv4, the locs even stop in corners, too much friction)

None of the wheels of the turbine pack turn like they should.

Some wheels turn even when the train does not move at all and that same wheels turn only at one speed.
Some wheels turn backwards.
Some wheels turn way too slow.

Like mister anl said: it comes like it is, no complaints.

But maybe it was better to fix the wheels before the download.

I did not think that it was within my purview to alter the original files. The only asset I altered was the removal of some spurious entries in the kuid table of the SW-9.

I'm happy to include a text file with suggested changes with the .zip, I would be reluctant to modify the content and I think Norm shares my reluctance as well.

Thanks John

I think I have all the files I've been sent on the web site now.

Links removed as per ANL's request

Let me know if there are any more to add.

Thanks John

I've requested a couple of folks who have posted that they have them to share them with myself or John but haven't gotten anything as yet.

I think the full FA list is

ALCO FA

Great Northern (got it!)
Missouri Pacific (got it!)
New York Central
Spokane Portland & Seattle (got it!)
Union Pacific ver1
Union Pacific ver2

But as you can see I did not know about the PRR. :D

Edit: Updated to include PA-PB sets

^Thanks John. The AF-15 and AF-16 (ALCO FA-1 and FA-2) are my favorite Pennsy ALCO's, now I get to have them in TRS, since I never had them when they were hosted by ANL on RRMods.com.

UP_ALCO_FA_&_FB_DEPS.zip
and

SP&_ ALCO_FA_&_FB_&_DEPS.zip

are now available apparently there are one or two more to follow.

Cheerio John
