This is my trainz version of "Atlantic Longhaul Lines" which appears as layout N-16 in Atlas' "Nine N Scale Railroads". My late grandfather had once desired to build this route for himself, but illness prevented him from getting past much more then laying a small bit of the track.
In order to make the curves at least somewhat reasonable, it's been enlarged by a factor of 3. Making what was a 4' x 8' layout in N-scale, the equivelent of 12' x 24'.
Some of the names are his puns, some are mine - the basic story is that the town was founded by Lucius Q. Ball, which led of the town being named Ball, and the nearby promontory being named Ball Point. When the state later built a prison on the plateau above, it was named the Ball Point Pen.
