My first route, any good?

Where do you get this loco?

This picture here seems a bit, eh, out-of-place...a bottomless chasm near a city on what appears to be flat land?

Other than that, don't change a thing. Looks very good, in spite of Trainz's graphical limitations (It's only after you take a break from Trainz that you realize how limited it is! :))

BTW, what on Earth has Auran done to the reply form? And where did half of the old forums go?

What canopy did you use for that large station shot at the bottom of the first page? I've been looking for a canopy like that and I'm extremely interested in where its from...

If this is your first route, I don't believe it - it looks too good!!!

Seriously, though, you've done a LOT of work here, and it shows. I think you will turn into one of the great route builders that we all aspire to be.

One thing I would suggest - other than the "chasm" shot, I didn't notice any trees in any of the pics. Lot's of grass, though, which I love, but there are lots of great looking trees on the dls, which can really add to a route.

That route looks REALLY good, and all I can say is please keep up the great work, and I'm sure I speak for all when I say that we'll be keeping an eye out for it on the dls!

Cheers,

n

A lot of the route does have trees at the moment. Most of the areas with trees are nowhere near being finished and so far I've only been posting pictures of finished areas. There are five major cities on the route at this point, and three major rail lines radiating out from the city I've been showing you. One is a high-speed electric line (25 miles so far), the other is a commuter/heavy freight line (about 50 miles), and another heavy freight line(10 miles.) There is also a street railway and a subway/elevated rail line. Unfortunately I cannot post pictures right now as my brother is playing Runescape (urrgh!) and I am having to use the Mac.

P.S. The canopy is part of andi06's new station kit. It comes in sizes for two, four, six, and eight track stations.

I've fixed the track:

Anyone know of any signaling tutorials? All I know about signals comes from Transport Tycoon, and I doubt that the same rules apply in real life.

the best tutorail for signalingcomes with the manual.
no it doesnt appy like the real life. you will need to do a lot of modifications to get the signals to work. it may not look right but it will work.

:)

Thanks i spent like a hour of playing on this game it is called horse route and the engine is cool and i would love playing with it.
