NEVER say that about a route your making, Ive been doing a proto route that is about 20 squares and ive been doing it for 2-3 years now...

I usually spend two weeks per mile, unless I get to a town or industry then it takes two months per mile. mile=roughly 2.5 baseboards

Update...

I have just now finished the laying the mainline, US 27, TN HWY 68, and the mountains on the first baseboard. Slowly but surely I'm getting it done. Right now I'm working on it just north of Spring City Tennessee. The challenge will be getting HWY 68 down the mountain realisticly. I have modeled one of the overlooks on 68, and it looks very good. It is complete with no parking sign on the HWY. No ground cover or trees will be applied until all roads, rails and hills are done, one end to the other. Unfortantly my graphics card is not the best, so I must do it this way. If anyone knows how to create the screenshots folder please PM me! I really want to put the pictures up!!!

Well, I know the screenshot feature works, because it stutters when I press the button. It is a matter of when I look in "programs" under "Auran" there should be a screenshots folder, right? Well, it ain't there!

That folder should be automatically generated the first time that you are in Surveyor and hit the Print Screen key on your keyboard.

Hit the Print Screen key, then open paint, and CTRL V and then upload it.

My computer does not have paint easily accesible, you have to select a picture from "pictures" then "open with paint" but my screenshots never end up in pictures! The Auran folder also only has the following, "TRS06", TRS06 ReadMe, TRS06Website, and Register Online.

If you're using Windows Vista, screenshots won't be taken until you set the security on the Trainz folder to full permission for yourself. One note: if you just click on the whole auran folder and set to change its security options, it will take a while for your computer to set everything to full permission. So when you do it, expect it to take five minutes, maybe. I forget how long it took when I did it.

Also play around with the "F-Lock" feature ( My keyboard has one about 2 right of Printscreen and i gotta have it off or on ( i can't tell you what is off or on ) for them to take.

Update...

Still in gray and yellow, my route has reached the Tennessee Highway 68 railroad crossing [I figured there probably was no overpass in '67] I'm using bnsf50's catwalk signals. The second overlook on 68 is almost done, I have sceniced the overlooks. I'm looking for decent picnic tables for these areas. Three railroad crossing are in place. If anyone has pictures of the branch line running east from between Spring City and Dayton please post them! This branch is now abondoned but will probably be a crucial piece to this route.

I have it slap in my start menu (I'm using XP). So while I'm in driver I can press Print Screen and pause and open it. I'll PM you tomorrow...

Well, screenshots appearantly won't ever be. But anyhow I'm getting frustrated because nothing ever works when I need it to! I want to show this layout to all of you, I'm very proud of it. It is coming along 68 has been really hard to get down the mountain realisticly. So in any case I don't think I'll be doing that CSX project after all. This one will keep me pretty busy. When and if it ever gets done, it will probably be pretty fun to operate.

Hopefully the PM that I sent you will help you with your screenshot problem. If the folder doesn't appear try going to the TRS folder, right clicking, going down to new, and selecting folder. This will create a new folder. Name it screenshots. That might work.
