Murchison2 Wiped out my installation

I just installed Murchison2 and it destroyed my TS12 installation. TS12 launches but there are no routes and eventually TS12 stops responding and i have to close using the Windows Task Manager

That is very unusual - did you remember to add the serial number into the Trainz Options box?

I added the serial number when asked to during the install. Where is the Trainz Options box?

It's the one you get when you click Options on the Launcher (and also the one that appeared when you first ran the game).

The Murchison CD number is already listed in the Trainz Option Box (must have happened automatically during the install. TS12 will launch and I can get to the railyard, and the missing download files windows, but when i open up the Routes window it freezes and I have to shut down using windows task manager.

You may need to do an extended database repair.
