Possibly because you won't need it in future once the DLS is fixed. In TS2010, they've removed a couple of features when Multiplayer is installed, I'd like to know why they dropped compatability mode, as Compat. Mode allowed you to use older assets

Compat. mode should not slow everyone else downIts a local option that will only be noticeable in slow FPS, not slowing down internet speed....
This is just another no sense feature by Auran. Keep the "good work" fellas, soon we will have a game that will not even allow to install 3rd party content....![]()
Come on, think about it. To have multi player everyone has to be on the same playing field. You all need the same assets and you all need to be in the same mode to make it run smooth. By only having one mode and the program updating your assets it is then guaranteed that everyone is playing on the level field.

They always said compatibility mode was a temporary feature to allow older problem content to be used. They must feel that after two versions of Trainz with compatibility mode, people have had enough time to update their content to the new standards.I'm confused, why are you removing zcompatability mode for all routes??
Nope, I get the same internet speed when I am running an EDR that I do when I don't have anything open.
