Hi

TRS2004

I have 3 problems I could use help with..

1. How could a AI train just ignore whole route one way direction markers and go in reverse???

2. I D/L'd a Driver command called 'headlights on' but when it gets to it, all it does is flash on....won't stay on..........any ideas???

3. Last problem is I have car manufacturing industries but they all need coils to be delivered to make more but I can't find a coil industry to download, can someone please direct me (and others I am sure) to a link or place top get one???

Thank you in advance

Hi Dennis,

1. do you have your direction markers placed the right way round? trainz should travel from the square end to the pointy end.

2. If you are using TRS2004 there is nothing that I have found that will keep the headights on in daytime.

3. Look for PL industry track. At least one of the proto lars tracks produce coil, I can't remember off hand which one.

Hi

Oops, yes TRS2004 (corrected original post, thank you)

Yes, all the direction markers are all pointing the same way. (I hope..lol, I will check tomorrow) :o

Oh, okay, so if I tried to switch them on in a tunnel, maybe they would stay on!!! thanks, I'll try that:cool:

I will also look for that track...thanks

wrong thread...please remove

Hi Peter,

Just a thought:-

At the "Grand Union" junctions, you may like to consider some minor texturing in these areas. The rest of the tunnel system being the uniform solid colour as now?.

This then would give the route more 'life'?.
The other possible areas for a little texturing, would be the elevators, pick-up & put-down docks, coaling stations & the like.

:)

Wrong thread dude, please remove

Oops, :o

Sorry Viper 1hh

My apologies, & thanks for the 'heads-up'

Removing it now :)

Hi Noel  getting a bit old and mixing up things? Just wait till you reach my age :hehe:

How are you doing, mate?

As all 3 questions have been answered, I will butt out, sorry hijacking this :p

Hi Again

Well, here is my update..

I found the coil producing track...it is called Multiple industry new
and yes, the one way yellow direction cones are all pointing the right direction. (now the least of my worries..see next...):'(

I set up the track to load coils and unload cars....well, this is what happens when the coil train arrives at the industry to load.... I get this error message:

thead expection error
null refenence, line 173, file
stack dump
function

$Void @ multiple industry new PerformStoppedLoad (vehicle,string), line-1
function $Void @ base industry PreformStopped (vehicle,string) line 336

So, this ends my dream of making cars (I got a baleout...lol) Hawaii here I come...

Any fixes will be very appreciated

Hi Dennis,

I did not recomend the multiple industry new because it is quite tricky to setup. With the thread exception error above I suspect you have not set it up properly. There are I think four steps to go through to set it up and if it not done in the proper way you will get an error. I can't explain how to set it up because it is years since I last set one up and there are other industry tracks that are much easier to setup.

Cheers,

On the subject of the direction markers - have you checked that the route you want the train to take doesn't have any breaks or missing switches? I suspect the AI will drive against direction markers if there is no other route...
