Muchison 2 as addon to TS2010

Hi. Allow me to post this problem here as I am not sure the traffic on Muchison2 subforum is heavy enough to help me solve it fast.

I purchased M2 to install as addon to TS2010. Installation goes ok till the screen where you enter the key and name; the Next button stays grey, can't go on!

I am on Win 7 64. Any ideas please? It is hard to have such an outstanding product as M2 and not being able to plunge right into it.

Installs to and works fine with my TS2010, i am also on Win 7 Ultimate 64bit.

To get around it, install Murchison 2 as stand alone.

Then copy the .ja file from the Builtin folder in your Murchison 2 install.

To the Builtin folder of your TS2010 install.

To complete the process, manually enter your Murchison 2 install key.

Into TS2010, in the Options menu.

Thanks for the reply. I tried to install it as standalone but same problem: Next button stays grey

Never come across that problem myself, are you installing with administrative rights ( i always run with UAC disabled ), so i do not have that problem.

Failing that if you have tried to install it before, you may have traces of it in your Registry, use something like RegCleaner to get rid.

Before trying to install again.

I disabled UAC. Same problem.

I only installed TS2010 once from the first go with no problems at all. Installed patch1 and patch2.

Which screen is locked out, the one with the option to install as an addition or stand alone or the next one ?

If it is the "option screen", it sounds like a "permissions" problem.

Although to be honest i am running out of ideas.

No it is not the option screen, it is the one after it, where you enter the key and name, and it appears for both options: installing as addon or standalone.

Oh right, so it obviously finds your TS2010 install. Or it would not advance to the next screen, when you chose the option to install into TS2010.

I tried it here and it would have let me install it again, so i am lost now sorry.

With the CD key that I sent I left off the "A" at the beginning.
