Mstnoodle Miniature Locomotives

Can someone PLEASE make an interior for mstnoodles fantastic locomotives and rollingstock as I would like to recreate a narrowgauge line which uses these sought of engines and rollingstock

Haven't heard of these, would like to see them, where are they found?
DLS came up with no results for username mstnoodles

That may or may not be possible. An interior (Cab) kuid requires specific attachment points to be present in the loco's mesh. So even if you could find someone to make you a Cab, the loco may not be able to handle it.

Do they already have a cab view? If so, the cab that the Gossen Railroad garratt uses might be a good substitute.

if you change the search to title and then type in miniature they come up

No they don't. That's why I would be greatfull for anyone kind enough to make one

You could always couple on my lantern and use it's interior view!

A-It's to low to see the cab if I position it in between the Loco and tender plus the fact that it looks bad.
B-If I put it in front of the loco I don't get the sound and I'm after the full effect of just sitting on the tender so if it was just that as the interior I'd be more than happy. But thanks anyway

Would not PEVs attachment maker do this?

Quote from PEVs helpfile:

"AttachmentMaker is a tool to add attachment points to any asset by making an additional mesh containing the attachment points. No GMax of Blender experience is required.

The program provides wire frame views of the main object mesh into which the attachments can be placed. Alignment with any reference points in the main mesh is achieved visually and final adjustments can be done by editing the position and or rotation numbers."

Still need to create the cab asset though!!

Why didn't I think of that! Then the Gossen Railroad Garratt cab could then be substituted. I think that it is a very good tool.

No programing skills required. The Attachment Maker is a straightforward program that lets you create a new mesh with attachment points and that you can combine with an existing mesh by adding a line or two in the config.txt file of the parent kuid.

I read the instructions on it but it didn't say where to put the attachment points. I'm sorry if it's me being an idiot but where do you put them for the cab?

You put the attachment point wherever you feel it should go! Then, right-click and save. Do NOT change the file name of the saved mesh. Then, edit the config. file. The red is what you add:

mesh-table {
default {
mesh "the miniature loco mesh name"
auto-create 1
}
attachments {
mesh "attach_mesh.im"
auto-create 1
effects {
0 {
kind "attachment"
att "a.New"
default-mesh <enter kuid of interior being used here>
}
}
}
}

rweber95 taught me how to use the Attachment Maker.
Hope this helps

There's a tutorial for this program in the August edition of the Trainz Community news which you've no-doubt downloaded already.:hehe: That should help you a bit more that the readme files that come with the program.

Remember - It's free!

Thanks I'll try again today

I have tried doing what you have said but it still didn't work I decided to try attaching the Lanterns interior to the drivers eye on the tender but that doesn't seem to have worked perhaps someone else could do this so called easy job for me. Any help would be much appreciated.:confused:

I'll give it a go later today. I will use the Gossen Railroad Garratt interior. I will post a screenshot if it works.

It hasn't worked yet! I have tried just about everything I can think of. If anyone knows how to add an existing cab to an asset that was created without one, please reply. If anyone replies, I will have another go at it.

Could someone please recommend some track for them mini locos and rollingstock? I can't find a track.

Thankyou, Chris :wave:
