More Problems!

As some of you may know I was having some problems in one of my last posts. Well now I have another, however I think it is a lot easier to solve. I have just about an hour ago reinstalled Trainz 2009. My problem lies when I go to content manager to download some stuff. Not that many downloads are listed and when I search for downloads for things that obviously do have downloads such as "class 47", the search returns no results.

I have entered the keycode on the manual and have entered my planet auran details. I have a sneaking suspision that I may need to wait a while for this to be verified or something but I just want to see what you knowledgeable guys say.

On the search tab on the left you might not have changed the location. There should be a box with 'Location' in it and the box next to it might say 'Local' or something. You need to change it to 'Download station'.

Today it is still the same and it does say download station on the search tab. However I think I might have figured out what the problem is. If I go to view - columns and click on installation time, all of the assets installation times are 2010. Does that mean that content manager is only showing downloads uploaded in 2010 and is that why ones like "class 47" areant listed as they were uploaded before 2010? Does anyone know how to get rid of this? There isn't any other filters on in the search tab.

What is the item count showing in the lower right corner of CM3 when you select the Download Station tab? That number show how far along your assets.tdx database index has progressed in its search of the DLS. My assets.tdx is 34241 and CM3.3 count shows 161168 items.

On mine it is CM 2 but I think that is right for TS 2009 isn't it? Anyway the count shows "3384 of 16191 items displayed". That can't be right can it?

Yes. My TS2009 CM2 with the Download Station tab selected shows 130074 of 159979 items...
Maybe an extended database repair operation will help.

Thanks for the help but doing an extended database repair didn't work either. I've even tried uninstalling it and deleting the TS 2009 folder in program files and then reinstalling it but it still didn't work. If I try to download the things I would like to from the online DLS they open up in CM2 but say unknown location. :'(

Have you tried going to your Auran Profile, select edit account and edit your password? You can use your existing password.

The Assets database may take some time updating. Try exiting CM2 and coming back in to force an update of the database with the current number of available assets on the DLS.

I've found a way around the problem!

I have found a way around the CM2 problem! The PC I was having the problem with was our laptop with Windows 7 on it. Our older XP PC also has TS 2009 on it but it is too slow. All I did was download the things I wanted on the XP PC (as CM2 and the DLS work fine on the XP PC) and copy the downloads across to the Windows 7 laptop, and it works!

Thanks for everybodies help and advise, I should be ok for a while now! Now I'm off to try and and build my first proper GWR route.

Interesting, this is the same problem I just related in the TS2009 forum. CMP is only seeing around 3300 of the 16k items on the DLS.
