Fixed the spots but now there is no sound kuid2:60318:53002:1.
How do I get it to work?

Also, is there a very easy, simple way to get the loco/tender to match the colour of the SOP coaches??
Thanks
Stuart.

Hi Stuart,

To match the other coaches, you'll need to edit the engine and modify the texture colors.

What does this KUID refer to? If it is the engine its self, ensure that you didn't touch anything in the config.txt file that may have pointed to a sound somewhere. Also, TS12 does have sound issues. Try clicking on the menu bar then clicking in the main screen while in driver. That seems to help with the sounds.

John, the kuid is the enginesound.
I tried changing to an alternative but that didn't work either.
I see that Barrie says the problem is known.
Any sort of sound would do as a temporary measure if I knew how.

As for the colour change, I wonder if someone could outline the steps to follow. (Copy the SOP coach colour to the loco/tender.)
I am sure it is a simple matter but I have not been successful so far.
Having spent some time removing the spots on the loco/tender, I am reluctant to continue experimenting and possibly mess it up and have to re-install and start from scratch.
Thanks
Stuart.

Unfortunately, it's not simple. The tender sides are painted with a reflective texture and the coach is painted with a diffuse texture. The color in the two images is actually the same, but the way they are rendered is different. It is possible to change the tender from reflective to diffuse, but then it wouldn't match the engine, and you would need to change the engine, and that involves several different images. I suspect it is possible to change the coach from diffuse to reflective, but there seems to be even more images involved. I would recommend just assuming that the engine and tender are polished every morning but the coaches just get a washdown.

It was just a hope.
I thought it might be a simple thing to do.
Not really a problem to have different colours.
And it will keep two crews employed as you suggest.
Thanks all for the help.
Stuart.
