Hi Train Buffs,
I would like to hear from people that have some the built in stock go red on them. I have some br loco's and rolling stock with missing dependencies. Also I have some other items that are now reds as well. the problem I got these can not be deleted. Unless I remove the whole Tranz 2012 from the computer. And that is not going to happen. also some of the driver are also red with missing dependencies. What is going on here. First of it was content manger and DLS and now this.
Is this really worth the stress.:(
and list is getting longer for all these missing dependencies.
thank you for all who help in this matter.

In order to help you, we need to know a bit more of your situation. Start with telling us which build of the game you have. You can find this number in the bottom right corner of the start-up screen.
Did you try downloading these missing dependencies?
Did you download all updates?

Hi oknotsen,
Here is the information you ask for. The build number is 57720. Yes I have try to download these missing dependencies. and as for update go this is update. it is one of the first thing I do when I re-install trs2012

Ok, just letting you know. That I'm a mungal of a headache and feel like crap. As I'm no were near to getting this problem fix. So now I have an idea. So. This is a knowledge base that can not fix nothing. So what is going on here guys, Hmm just wonder.

Here is the idea, I'm going find all the missing dependencies then put them in to a file and then put them on the DLS with the tag "fix this now". Because I know that no one will do it. Just a message to N3V, Stop releasing new products until you can fix the old one. Plus why are you not doing the stock and creating the stuff yourself.

I think you are barking up the wrong tree

This is a knowledge base that can not fix nothing. So what is going on here guys, Hmm just wonder.
What is? O you mean this website? This website is a forum. There are bunch of people posting on it that have knowledge. A forum has never fixed something and will never fix something, the people that use the forum however might fix something.
So that is going on: The usual forum stuff. Nothing new, has Always been the same, for each and every forum.
And for the record:
About 99% of the active people on this forum are doing this unpayed. As a result, you can not demand anything from them and being nice helps a lot in the number of (positive) reactions you might get.

Now the trick is understand the material that is being discussed. In this case Trainz and how things work with trainz. Based on the source of your complain: Missing dependencies, I am getting the feeling you do not understand the basics of Trainz.
You seem to be complaining to N3V about missing dependencies were it is caused by content creators not putting them on the DLS and you not finding them on 3rd party websites.

As someone else wrote it in reaction to a similar post of yours in a different topic:
That's to do with people not uploading their assets to the DLS.

And then you had an idea...:
Here is the idea, I'm going find all the missing dependencies then put them in to a file and then put them on the DLS with the tag "fix this now". Because I know that no one will do it.
So... What you are basically saying is that you are going to try and upload the work of others to the DLS?
You might want to reconsider doing this, because:
- You can not upload the material under the name of someone else. As a result, you are going to need to change the KUID of the asset, which will not fix the missing dependency as the asset with the missing dependency is still pointing to the orriginal KUID.
- Next to that, uploading the content of others is on itself an illegal action. As a result you will probably get banned from the DLS when you get caught doing this.
So here is an idea: Dont even think about it ;).

Just a message to N3V, Stop releasing new products until you can fix the old one.
I agree, although this has nothing to do with your problem: Missing dependencies.

Plus why are you not doing the stock and creating the stuff yourself.
Because you, me and 90%+ of the rest of the customers are not going to pay the bill for that.

If you were to post a list of what's missing, we could possibly assist you. There are various methods for finding missing dependencies ranging from a Google/Bing search to using Content Manager.

Just an FYI though, sometimes an asset will show a missing dependency (or more than one) when first downloaded. Give the DLS a day or two to reconcile. There may have been an upload issue that prevented the dependency(ies) from uploading to the DLS. Using Content Manager, you can check again for missing dependencies and download them then.

First, ljstott, build 57720 is TS12 SP1, and before you begin building the list of dependencies, I suggest applying the two hotfixes released for SP1. The first will upgrade you to build 57825; the second will update you to 57898. That may solve a some of your issues with the seemingly broken content. The two hotfixes can be obtained through the links on the page <http://online.ts2009.com/mediaWiki/index.php5/TS12_SP1>.

Ok, I have read other threads on this issue, so I'm not going into this blind. I had run all patches to this. also the hotfixes were put on as well. also if I am pointed in a direction to fix my problem then I will try it. but when it does not fix then I have something to say about it. I have tried to find the kuid in different way with no luck.
if you want the kuid I'm looking for, here it is.
<kuid:1:10079> when I went looking for this, I was given a list of one that can be found.

I don't think there is an author with ID=1. However the is a -1 ID used by Auran. Can you double check that kuid?
