First my World of Trainz locomotives I bought won't install because my TrainzUtil.exe is acting up and won't install them. Second I move my local files into another location and when I tried to save my routes to CDP it said unable to do it because of a corrupt configuration file. Now I'm contemplating re-installation of my game. What should I do?

What do you mean "moved my local files"? Are you talking about the local folder? If you moved items out of the folder, it might cause problems as Trainz would be unable to find them. Personally, I wouldn't recommend doing so. If you want to back-up the local folder, copy the entire folder and save it to a DVD or other external location - at least, that's what I do.:)

I'm not sure what version of Trainz you're referring to, but have you tried a database repair? It might solve the issues, especially if the failed WOT install messed something up.

When it says for trainz 2006 only theres a reason for this. Just because it worked before with a engine doesn't mean it will work with all of them. 2nd it can also possibly overwrite files to trainz 2006 might be the reason this all went down.

...and it may never work.

As stated previously, the World of Trainz locomotives were designed WAYYY back in the UTC/TRS2004 era. Just because they work for TRS2004 and TRS2006 does not mean that they will work in TS2009. There has been such a leap of design and scripts, I'm not surprised. I see you have a copy of TRS2006 installed, I recommend installing them into '06. Then they should work, but only for '06.

You might be able to update them, but that's highly doubtful since Phil_C locked his locomotives with a damn virtual Allen Key. :p I never have those around when I need 'em.

Cheers,
Joshua
