Monon Route in Indiana?

Would anybody be willing to create a DEM map for a commision? I would really love to be able to accurately recreate at least part of the old Monon Railroad in Indiana. The main line ran for about 324 miles from Chicago, IL, to Louisville, KY. It also had branch lines in Indiana going to Indianapolis, Michigan City, Victoria, and French Lick. Well over 500 miles of trackage in all. I would be willing to make a donation to anybody that would be willing to faithfully create a DEM for this route. I can provide some prototypical information.

In all reality, it would probably be best to pic a small (100 miles maybe) of the line, and model it. The Reading had just under 300 miles of trackage, but I have decided to just model the Shamokin Division. Just my opinion though.

I was actually just talking about how noone seems to do anything with the Monon in TRS. I guess that I was wrong, lol. Any BL2 using railroad is fine by me.

If only there was more interest in the Monon! I can do trackwork and scenery detailing, but with me, accurate terrain is another story. I do better when I have DEM's to work with. Unfortunately, I have neither the software nor knowhow to produce them. Perhaps seperate installments would be ideal, with the possibility of being merged at the user's desire? Ex., Chicago to Monon, Monon to Bloomington, Bloomington to Louisville... something like that. That would put each installment at roughly 100 miles. Plus the lines to Indianapolis and Michigan city, neither of which is over 100 miles.

If only there was interest. If some decent models were put out, like BL2's, U23B's, U36C's, Alco RS-2's, F3's, and C424's, just to name a few, a project like that might be a possibility. I would be willing to attempt such a route, if only a small portion, if I had a DEM map to work with. I am working on a 130-mile representation of the Indiana Rail Road, and I am enjoying it very much. The Monon would be very complementary to this route. I am glad to see that there is at least a little interest in the Hoosier Line!

I suggest purchasing TransDEM and creating it yourself. =)
