If anyone out there creates "content" for Trainz Simulator 12, I would like to hear from you.
I have been looking in the Download Station for specific content for a massive layout I am trying to create, but I am not finding the "resources" I need for my layout. I am looking for track content - specifically for "Grade Xing US OH" style crossings that are 2 lane, 4 lane, 6 lane and 8 lane, and cover 1 through 12 tracks (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 tracks for each lane width).
I am also looking for Yard style intersections, T-intersections and corners (with and without sidewalks) for 4 lane, 6 lane, and 8 lane intersections (regular intersections and T-intersections and corners), and angled intersections that include all lane sizes, as well as 5 and 6 "corner" intersections for the 2 lane and 4 lane intersections.
I need intersections that also have train crossings that go through the intersections (straight crossings, and various angled crossings, with 1, 2, and three tracks) and road/track crossings where the tracks "cross" each other (i.e., a 2 lane crossing with 2 tracks at 90 degrees and 1 track crossing the 2 tracks at 30 degrees (as an example).
I would love it if someone would be willing to collaborate with me to help me properly create the Chicago Metra (passenger) tracks that come into Downtown Chicago. I'm not sure how to create the "raised" track so that streets can be properly created that go underneath one set of tracks but "cross" another set of tracks. I need to "raise" several "branch" lines from downtown that go to various "suburbs" where the tracks are raised in most of Chicago, but are not raised when they near the suburbs. (In Chicago, many of the railroad "overpasses" are not high enough for a semi-truck and trailer to go under the "bridge").
I am trying to recreate the entire Illinois train system. I am planning to extend the tracks into the surrounding states only a few miles or so, unless there is a large "port" or rail yard within 10 miles of the state border(s), in which case I will attempt to create the "port" or rail yards as an ending point. Northern Illinois will have the most "track" going into neighboring states (Wisconsin and Indiana).
