Monitor Question

I currently Have a 27" 1920 X 1080 Monitor. I am looking at acquiring another 27" 2560 X 1440 monitor.
Any thoughts about how Trainz performs on a 2560 X 1440 especially as it pertains to frame rates.
I am running TS12 and notice in the setup section the higher resolution is not mentioned as an option. Is it possible? If so what is the biggest difference one would notice?

I am using an Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 graphics card with Windows 7.

I would not buy a new higher res monitor just for Trainz. The Trainz graphics engine is very old and you will not see any appreciable difference.
I upgraded to a 32" Toshiba HD and a Gigabyte 660oc-2GB GPU (for X-Plane and FSX), and did not notice any difference in Trainz at all.
If you are into other games that do support higher resolutions, then that is a different matter.

Not sure but trainz running on Nvidia surround with a resolution of 3560x864 looks pretty damn good..So one would expect 2560 X 1440 to look pretty damn good as well.
