Missing Kuids and methodology to find them outside DS

Hi:

I have downloaded some routes and sessions from Download Station. Some of them have "Unknown missing kuids".

Is there any method to find Kuids outside DS by kuid number?.

Please where can I find following kuids?

While I don't disagree with John's advice (it is, after all, always my first step), when Google (or whatever your favorite search engine is) doesn't work, my next step is to fire up content manager for the latest version of Trainz, select the "download station" tab, and click on the KUID to sort the content by KUID number. Then I look for the first part of the KUID after the KUID designation, which is the ID assigned to the user. If I can't find the user in the Content manager listing, then I go to Planet Auran, and do a search on the members, using the first part of the KUID. I will also use my preferred search engine to search for the content creator's name.

I have found that sometimes CM cant find assets, so I first go to the Black Pages on the Download Station (make sure to place a tick in all versions of Trainz). It can be found at the top of this page. Quite often the problem is there is an update but for some reason CM just cant handle it. You can also try searching by making it a KUID2 and add a number athe end eg. kuid2:xxxxx:xxxxxx:1
My next step is to do a search on the forum which will give you some threads to look through, I have found many things this way.
If all else fails I delete the kuid and see if the asset still works, most of the time it does.

Hi I have just been chasing some of Bens assets for dependencies and I found a list that shows all the dependencies on his site.
home.comcast.net/~eng95/filelist.doc‎ It is in Word document form. You then will know which loco to download for the dependency you require.
