Missing in Surveyor Menu

After it seems endless years of using Surveyor I have a problem I cannot fathom (getting too old).
When opening the menu in Surveyor (i.e Track Menu) only a few tracks are listed and the Content Manager shows dozens as installed.
I should explain that I have just reinstalled TRS10 (having decided I prefer it to TRS12) and I am running Windows 8.
Also CDPs created in TRS12 will not recognise in TRS10.
"Not the end of the world BUT it makes difficult".
