missing deps I had before

Oh, what a two weeks it has been (for details, see my thread FATAL ERRORS EVERY TIME). In a nutshell, TRS2006 Surveyor kept crashing with fatal errors (2 different PCs, different routes, etc.). Tried Dave Snow's fix (which works perfectly for Trainz crashes/won't restart problems but alas, did nothing for the fatal error snafu). :(

So, backed up local folder, uninstalled and reinstalled. Trainz wouldn't launch at all, so unin-rein'd a second time. Got CMP to run (1st time in almost a week!). Tried to import content (my local folder that I saved elsewhere). It would run for a few minutes then lock up. It wouldn't show me anything under Open for Edit, Installed, or frankly, any OTHER tab. :'(

So back to uninstalling/reinstalling a THIRD time (and close to end of my rope!). Finally, CMP opened up properly, and showed me everything installled. I again tried to import content and again, it froze up. :'(

Finally on Sunday, I fired it up for what I figured would be my last time ever, and lo and behold it launched fine. And it showed me stuff under the tabs. And it showed a BUNCH of stuff under Installed. It had import my local folder after all--I think.

However, not all is well, not yet anyway. Because now I had almost 1,000 assets with missing dependencies. In two days, I have pared that down to about 325 (whoo-hoo!), but I am thinking there must be a better way, especially when I began noticing assets that I KNOW I had before this mess.

So my question (finally): is there a way you know of to find these missing dependencies in my saved Local folder? Because clearly, CMP did NOT import everything. Many of my assets under the Missing Deps tab are routes and sessions, and I really don't want to have to d/l all of those missing objects that I already had. Any help would be most appreciated.

Your version includes SP 1.
No quick way that I know of, but once you do get it all together archive it or make a cdp and save all deps to a folder on desktop.
Do the same with all your modified stuff if you want.
Sounds like you had some duff content so perhaps it's a good job your local didn't import everything.
