missing dependinces problem

OK - right-click it and use View Dependencies, followed by View in Main List. Do any of the assets in the new list that appears have that icon?

If the asset that is reporting the dependency issue is also on the Download Station, I would suggest deleting and redownloading it.

deleted and reinstaled the asset on the download station but it did not fix thew problem

When you first right-click > view Dependencies on the engine, at the bottom of the pop-up is a "summary". It will say how many are "missing", "unknown", "faulty", "on DLS", etc.
--Do you have anything except zeros at the bottom, and if so, which catagory has a number other than zero?

-Can you post a screen shot of that pop-up window?

You will need to use a program like Paint to save the screenshot (using PrintScreen) then upload it to a photo-sharing site in order to get the required address to post here. Alternatively, you can post the unknown KUID in text form.

Many times the best way to find an unknown KUID is to use Google Search.
I did one for "kuid:268447:2472" and came up with a link to a discussion of that dependency, but my browser will not load the page, maybe you'll have better luck trying it on your machine.

Another method to find unknowns is to open content manager, click the tab for "my Content", then, in the box on the left, where your KUID prefix is, leave the # sign and type in the KUID prefix of the asset, 268447 in this case.

It will list all assets by that Author, and sometimes the item you are looking for is there, but with a KUID2 number. In this case, it was not there, but the author does have 3 other items on the DLS, so might be reachable via an email address in one of those assets Contact sections.

Another option for fixing unknown KUID issues is to "open in Content Creator". If the item is a Horn, Bogie, Interior, Engine Spec or one of a few other items, you can find that out in CCP, and possibly replace it with something you do have that is similar. Save, Close, Commit.
