Missing dependencies

I have downloaded an engine off the DLS and cmp tells me that it's missing a dependency, even though that particular dependency was downloaded and installed with the unit. Can someone tell me how I fix it and why it happens? It seems as though most of the stuff i'm downloading these days is missing something. frustrating. Can I delete the dependency in ccp without any problems?

I don't have any of your versions but can you name the engine, the problem dependency and which version you downloaded it for.

Have you checked it in Content Manager for errors or missing dependencies?
