Missing Dependencies for NS Birmingham East End Route

Which version did you install, TANE or Trainz 2019 revamped version? If you have not tried the revamped version, I would delete all the faulty dependencies and the route, rebuild the data base and then install just the revamped route.
Ohh wait nevermind, disregard that last post. I installed the new version, I believe the revamped one

Because the route itself came with this package folder that has both the TRS19 version and the other one which I’m guessing it’s like version 2..I can’t really tell because the name is not specific it just says Norfolk Southern Birmingham East End Route Released. So I just did both just incase cause I wasn’t sure which version to install

Is the revamped route the TRS19 version of the route?

You know, I think I misread the update message because I just reread it and it now makes sense. I’m now thinking that as it says that some of the assets used in the original construction of the route are N3V, yeah I’m now thinking that there really shouldn’t be any missing errors for the assets or anything because they are N3V and I’m thinking that it’s the TRS19 revamped version that I should be installing

So if that’s the case, I’ll do what you suggested. But my game version that I have is TRS22 so some of the assets from TRS19 game might not be in TRS22? Thanks for the advice and I apologize for the other stuff I asked/said.

Anything older than TRS22 will install fine with some exceptions due to stuff being really, really old, but 99% of the content is fine.

Wait so question. Would you suggest me to install the dependencies for the route or suggest me to install the route first and then the dependencies? You know as you mentioned in the rule about installing and such once the routes and or dependencies are imported in the game and then you would have to install the files

I would install the route first on the off chance that some of the dependencies have newer versions you may already have. Then just install the dependencies you need.
This might be off-topic but I also decided to go for a clean fresh install of Trainz 22 just because before when I installed the Birmingham route, I was going through so much that I felt like i almost messed up the game and so now that I have trainz 22 re-installed, I’m missing this one dependency for like the locomotives of CN and CSX that were built-in. Do you know if possible where I can find this:

Locomotive sound effects library v1.3 <kuid2:45324:54002:9>
I tried going on to JointedRail to see if it was there but I couldn’t tell which one and I also tried searching but not much of results

Hello everyone. Got an update on this but not sure which dependency I need to install or what. I was able to re-install the route of the TRS19 version of NS Birmingham route by Flamerailzzz and was able to download the files from the route after I imported it into the game and there only appeared to be 3 missing dependencies and so I then installed the dependency from the route which was the third party NS Birmingham route for TRS19 but once I did that, I still am seeing the missing dependencies.

However in the file folder for the route I am seeing the other version of the route and a few other files such as the Sessions for the route, Non-DLS dependencies for the route, Deluxe edition built in assets for the route and built-in payware assets (N3V owned)

So now I don’t know what other dependencies I am supposed to install. I am missing TRC US WCH M10 24ft Gate only with two missing kuids that are not on the DLS <kuid:378673:104120> and <kuid2:378673:104120:1> by UP8328, and TB Grass library which is missing <kuid2:19691:100011:3> that was not found on the DLS

So I’m not sure if I should download those other dependencies such as one that says Non-DLS dependencies or if they are for the other version that says Norfolk Southern Birmingham East End Released, and or if any of you might know where I can find those missing dependencies that are hopefully not from a website that is archived or extinct

Oh and also missing this: Locomotive sound effects library v1.3 <kuid2:45324:54002:9>

supposed to be from Jointed Rail but when I went in there and installed one of the sound effects library which was the version that doesn’t have the other versions like v1.whatever it is and so on, and imported it into the game, I don’t think it worked..

You should install the non-DLS dependencies.

You should install the non-DLS dependencies.
Update: just did the installation of that and still seeing the missing dependencies errors on the dependencies I mentioned above including also the locomotive sound library one too

Well except now, there only leaves two missing dependency and that’s this: Locomotive sound effects library v1.3 <kuid2:45324:54002:9> and the TRC US WCH M10 24ft Gate only with two missing kuids that are not on the DLS <kuid:378673:104120> and <kuid2:378673:104120:1> by UP8328

Before you go crazier than you already are, check for assets that are open for editing, and if there are any open right-click on them and choose Revert to original. You can select them all by clicking on one then pressing CTRL+A at the same time then right-clicking to choose Revert to original.

Doing this has cleared up some missing dependencies.

What version of the sound library do you have installed?

Is it only one locomotive that's affected?

There's a way to get around this but we'll look at this afterwards if we have to.

Contact the website where you got the route from. They may have the crossing gates. If not, you'll need to run delete missing assets to clean that up and replace those gates with something on the DLS and then configure the TRC settings so the gates works. My gut is telling me that the gates are not available due to the author, ReggiesTrainz, shutting down his website a few years ago. You may still be able to download the gates from Archive.org by searching for ReggiesTrainz.com

Okay, yeah all of them are all modified as I did went through them and every one of them that were open for edit, I just submitted them and they all became modified.

So it’s really now just that crossing gate that’s missing the dependencies and the sound effect library.

The version I have for the sound effect library is v1.47a and its the only one that’s missing the dependency that is affected
Edited: Well actually it’s causing all locomotives to be affected including some of the freight cars too. Basically like CSX, TRR GP38, NS C30-7, SP, KCS, Boxcars, Tank cars, etc

That's an easy fix. The problem is a content manager/database bug where if a newer version of an asset is installed and an asset is looking for an older version, then the older version will appear as a missing dependency. How's that for a mouthful!

I need you to check something before we proceed to a brute force fix for this sound library.

The :9 version doesn't exist and :8 version does as a built-in asset.

Search for Locomotive sound effects library

When it appears, right-click on it and choose List asset versions.

What versions do you have installed?

Wait hold on are you serious!? Lol that is actually crazy.

So I have Locomotive Traction Motor Sound as Built-in, Obsolete and the asset versions for that is three unknown assets, <kuid2:45324:53000:4>
<kuid2:45324:53000:3>
<kuid2:45324:53000>
Then with three Locomotive Traction Motor Sounds as Available to download and one of them being Obsolete but available to download as well and then the last one as a Built-in, Obsolete

Next I have the Locomotive sound effects library v1.3 and it’s the :8 that exists. The assets version for this that I have is four unknown assets that is <kuid2:45324:54002:1>
<kuid2:45324:54002>
<kuid2:45324:54002:6>
<kuid2:45324:54002:7>
Then with v1.05 as available to download, obsolete, v1.08 as available to download, obsolete, v1.3 as modified, obsolete, v1.08c as modified, obsolete, v1.3 the one with the :9 that doesn’t exist as unknown location, and v1.05, probably the old version, as unknown location, obsolete

<kuid2:45324:54002:9> does exist; it is "Locomotive sound effects library v1.3" and comes with several JR payware locomotives., Note that this asset has no dependencies, hence it can't be faulty for anything being missing.
<kuid2:45324:555246:9> is "Jointed Rail Train Effects library v 1.47a" and has the sound effects library as a dependency. You are confusing when you write: "The version I have for the sound effect library is v1.47a".

Now, that makes sense! Thank you, HPL for jumping in here with some assistance.
The highest version I have is <kuid2:45324:54002:8>. What assets did <kuid2:45324:54002:9> come from?

@Trainzisfun

Go to the Content Store and download anything that's available to you. This should update anything you may need and perhaps provide at least the <kuid2:45324:54002:8> version which we can use to fix your locomotive.
