Owner of ZPW.
I have a question. If i would get Trainz 2010, what would be the Minumum System Requirments to run the game? Plz reply as I could be getting the game during July.

G'day, A simple quick look in the shop found this:-
Specification
Minimum Specification
OS: Windows XP SP3
Memory: 1GB
Graphics: nVidia GeForce 7200
Processor: Pentium 4 - 3Ghz
Hard Drive: Approx. 16GB Free Space

Recomended Specification
OS: Windows Vista
Memory: 2GB
Graphics: nVidia GeForce 8800
Processor: Core 2 Duo
Hard Drive: Approx. 16GB Free Space

So if you are at or above the minimum specification the answer is yes. When you get your TS10 remember to register the serial code with Planet Auran so it appears on your post page and you are then more likely to get answers to any questions.

The Nvidia specs can easily be compared to ATI/Radeon versions... Trainz does not require Nvidia specifically (or an Intel processor for that matter, I use AMD exclusively, and it works fine), just hardware with equal specs.

I have a SG3 Unicrome/Pro Drivers that are 72 Month's old, and old OpenGL on my old windows XP. On my Broken Dell Windows XP, it has Nvidia Drivers, and Newer OpenGL. Though the game should work If i would happen to put it on this Windows 7...

Unichrome is an Integrated Graphics Processor. The short story is that any modern Trainz will run like garbage if it runs at all. Trainz, like most modern games, is not meant to run with integrated graphics; you need a dedicated or discrete graphics card. There are only two major makers of them, nVidia or ATI/AMD. I'm a fan of nVidia products myself but AMD/ATI products are also very good. Keep in mind that even newer computers have trended towards integrated graphics (mainly for power-consumption and smaller size needs) and they too will run like junk compared to a decent discrete desktop system. Trainz isn't for most low-end budget computers or laptops.

that computer of windows XP i have is very old. about 7 years old, but my windows 7 computer has Nivida drivers, and it can run any game!

Actually no, On my windows XP, i have a copy of Trainz 2006 installed, and though the drivers on it are old, it runs the game fairly decent.

The problem is that the graphics on Trainz 2010 are of much higher quality than Trainz 2006. It's no longer considered a "modern version" because of the fact that it's no longer supported.
I have a 6 year old computer with 2006 installed, and it runs it just fine. But when I tried to install and run 2010, it just refused to cooperate.

And if you have 2006 installed, why haven't you registered it? It would've saved you most of the discussion in your other thread.

Although I have now moved on in both computer and Trainz terms, I had no problems running TRS2004 on my old computer with 250MB integrated graphics.

You should edit out the name of that pirate site otherwise this thread will disappear like your other one.

I am sorry for the following:

Only an idiot with no common courtesy would be foolish enough to post about pirated software on the site you want support from. PLEASE delete this thread.

That is all.

I have heard that Intel is in the process of developing an IGP called Intel HD 5000 and Intel HD 5200 Iris Pro and it seems that their latest IGP's run almost as good as some of today's dedicated GPU's. I wonder how the 5200 Iris Pro would run with trainz.
