Mini PC on order

I have ordered a BeeLink SER8 Mini PC specifically with Trainz in mind. Reviews and Facebook imply that it should work well. Certainly better than my current desktop. We shall see. Ryzen 7 8745HS 24G Dual DDr5 (5600Mhz) + 1TB M.2 2280 PCle 4.0X4 SSD. AMD Radeon 780M iGPU.

Sounds interesting, I'm interested to see how good the performance is going to be.

I've seen several videos on this particular PC and it looks like a winner plus I see it on sale as well. The quality of the build is impressive. Please let us know how it handles Trainz.

Please note that the one I have ordered has the 8(7)45HS processor, not the 8(8)45HS that nearly all SE8 revues have been of. The 8 version came out last spring while the 7 SE8 came out a month or two ago. The difference is the 8 has AI circuitry while the 7 has not so cost around $100 less. A Facebook comparison of the two shows the 7 is as fast as the 8. If I had ordered the 8 it would likely be here by now. I will receive my 7 next month.

My Beelink SE8 mini PC arrived, a few weeks early. I loaded TRS 2019 on to it today and it runs GREAT! Certainly much better than on my old machine (Dell XPS8700 i5 cpu, Win10, 12G RAM, Asus GTX745 4G, HD 1T). I can use shadows now. With shadows and every setting at around mid range I have no problem staying at or above 30fps on a complex route. If I throw everything at it I get 10 fps according to FRAPS.
