Impressionz Routes

In 2009 MILWAUKEE Road Historical Association celebrates its Centennial on their lines west extension to the Pacific. That event of a great Fallen Flag RR was reason enough for me to name it for my reworked layout.
Find some screenies here in the next days !

Tracks

Hi Gents,
correct....2010 version. It is a nightmare if you try to follow all new TS versions in case you build bigger routes and hold them up to date!
The tracks I have are the best I can find - matching in type US and surrounding texture color variations....

This route looks great and certainly looking forward to it. The Milwaukee Road is definitely one of my top five favorite railroads.

@ H222: Yup you were correct about the JR track, It runs just fine in 10. I've been using it since released over a year ago. Definitely the best freeware track out there IMO.

oops, i thought the track was 2010

My Bad

Jamie

You were correct. The JR track works great in 2010. I'm using it in my Frisco High Line route. It has a lot of detail, no kinking, and a deep ballast version so you don't have to worry about floating track bed.

By the way the route looks impressive so far.

Freeware vs DLS content

MilWest_GP35_1024.jpg

OK - it's freeware - but I've a rule on all my routes : DLS content only....if you dl the route, it is all there on one spot. Further in case the webside with that outside freeware disappear, the objects are lost, but dependent on the layout...isn't it ?

Hallo Helmut,

cool to see another Milwaukee Road Layout is coming up. Do you modeling a special section like I created the Milwaukee Road between Drexel, Mt and Avery, Id?
Or is it just a fictional route which looks like Milwaukee Roads mainline?
As there is no trolley wire above the tracks it could be somewhere arround Miles City but east of Harlowton for sure. Keep on your great work.

I am about to work at my Othello - Kittitas section and there will also be an upgrade for Avery - Drexel including season change.

Frohe Weihnachten und einen "Guten Rutsch" ins neue Jahr - Uwe.

PS: I like to see my cars and locos running at your route. :)

Hi Uwe - old chap

MilWest_C30-2_1024.jpg

these are pure fictional locations - a real "IMPRESSIONZ" - route. Despite the fact that I had the opportunity to visit Three Forks, Deer Lodge and Butte I cannot rebuild the same landscape as it is. That would "tie" me to hard to the real and I had to build too many objects by myself like you do.
I'm a landscaper and not talented to use 3d programs. MIL WEST should reflect the road as it was in unelectrified country.
To rebuild the "real" MR sections in that area is your great work and we all looking forward to see this.
Do you remember I sent you some background and info stuff 1 or 2 years ago. Because I'm a member of the Milwaukee Road Historical Association I could support you with some material if you wish.....
Anyway - auch Dir ein schönes Weihnachten von Helmut aus dem Neandertal....

TS2012 Version planned !!!

MilWest_SW1500_800.jpg

Hi guys,
Good news - as agreed last night with Ives Guilliams he is going to build/transfer the TS2010 version I'm just finishing into a TS2012 version also.
That means there will be 2 MIL WEST routes at the DLS in January :

MIL WEST Impressionz - TS2010 (neandertal)

MIL WEST Impressionz - TS2012 (GuilliamsYves)

We keep you up-to-date on this......

Hard to achieve !!

MilWest_MP15-2_800.jpg

Today I've checked my 2004 route "Canada Impressionz - SUMMER LAKE PASS" at the DLS.
I could hardly believe as I saw that it has 29278 downloads during the years !!!
That makes me very proud and I'm happy if you like MIL WEST as much as the Canada routes.....
