Midshire Mainline

Evening All,

Following some advice from some people on the forum I have downloaded the excellent Midshire Mainline - from the screenshots it looks like exactly the route for me! However, for a few days now I've been trying to download all the needed KUIDs so I can actually play on the route, I've downloaded most of them but I'm missing these few... Does anyone know where I could get them, and if not is there a way to launch the route without them installed?

Any help would be much appreciated!

looking at what you've posted, it seems all the assets are on the DLS. It will be quickest in CMP, basically, get the route up in CMP, drag it into 'download helper', and click 'Start'. this should install the missing assets.

hope this helps

Comes up with the error;

"Unable to download <kuid:523:1112>. Could not obtain download URL. Item cannot be found on download station"

Thanks Shane, now have build 40040, when I continue to upgrade to 41844;

[h=2]The page cannot be found![/h]
The page you have requested cannot be found on this server.

Thankyou for letting me know. It appears to be an issue on the links, which I will now fix.

Shane

EDIT: Links on that page are now fixed.

NOTE: You must have DirectX 9.0C August 2009 or later installed to do the next patch.

Thanks, have now upgraded to SP3 and will make the jump to SP4 shortly...

However - after a number of asset database repairs it has been stuck all day on 'Caching Dependency Status'... Tried twice and it happened both times.

When right clicking Midshire Mainline V3 and going to Dependencies it now says all the dependencies I've downloaded are no longer local...will I have to download them all again?

That's a known glitch, it seems, with CM2 when at build 41844. You will still need to install SP4 to use the route though.

Shane

Thats good then, was worried I would have to reinstall everything!

Upon trying to patch up to SP4 your website says;

[h=1]404 Not Found[/h]Unable to connect to host

OK. I thought I'd fixed that.

I'm just looking into it.

Shane

EDIT: Fault is not with my site. The N3V server where the patches are hosted is playing up.

Ah right, have managed to get it "working" now and it seems to be exactly what I'm after...

Just a few things;
AIs dont seem to be able to find a path at many times.
Trains randomly derail at certain points
I cant see any signals...

Im still missing a few dependencies, not sure whether these are causing the problem?

It may take me a while to check these - I will report back once I find them.

In the meantime, have a look for any other threads relating to Midshire Mainline V3.

I think I've got all the dependencies I can now - thanks for the help!

I'm still encountering problems where, when AIs go over some junctions before the full train can change tracks the AI changes the junction again before the last few coaches (on a Pendo) can get across resulting in a derailment... is there a reason behind this?

I will add when I drove a Pendolino over the same junction manually there was no problem.

I believe that's a known Trainz bug. Not sure what the solution is though as the rule that's supposed to fix it does not do so.

Try changing (in surveyor) the direction of the points where you keep derailing, meaning from straight through to x/over or visa versa.
